truBackup - Mobile Backup

I was using this app to backup my SMS, Contacts, Pictures, etc, then I had to factory reset my phone for an upgrade, after phone did the reset I installed Trubackup again only to find that I could no longer restore all my information again. What good is this app if it is not going to do what it's supposed to do. Is this backup app only good for the current state that your phone is in?

I used to use this free app and it was fine because it did exactly what I wanted... Now I cannot even access my backup because something about upgrading to premium pops up... Even as I'm writing this review the upgrade screen is interrupting my typing... Horrible horrible update... Wouldn't bother to download

The only stuff that this app let me backup is my music haft of it stop to 80 percent and that's it the rest of my content nada if I would give this app a zero I would! And Don't waste ur money on the paid one its having issues also

Backup Failed message 2 out of 2 times I tried it. No reason given, just "Failed". Waste of tine, will uninstall soon. Don't bother with this junk !

I have used this app previously and worked perfect. This time, I did my back up and now when I go to restore, I get the"premium" update and although I have uninstalled and reinstalled...I still get the same error. Totally upset.

Does not let you backup anything. Soon as you launch it forces you to upgrade to premium edition, cannot access anything and you cannot back button out you have to force close with home button and task manager. Uninstalling right now - don't waste your time with this app.

This app used tobe a lifesaver, particularly as phone manufacturers changed their O/S, and as hackers managed to embed more malware into games and social apps. Now Trubackup installs and won't even let you run the app to backup up your contacts, it takes you directly to a screen that won't let you use the free app at all, and keeps cycling through to try and force you to buy the advanced app. Certainly not going to spend even a few bucks on an app that I don't know will restore the data I previously saved to my google drive. Used to be a very good app, but now it's not worth bothering with.

I expected this to work because I was rooting my device and adding a custom Rom. So I waited the multiple hours that it took to copy everything to my sd card and I properly ejected it and once I finished I checked and other was all con besides contacts and videos

Dont trust this app anymore.... I backed up my contacts but now I cant restore them unless I upgrade to paid version... this is ridiculous... If you want me to pay, convince me... Dont force me... very bad

Hi. I have been using this application from long time. I just changed my mobile. I took back up. But in my new phone it is unnecessarily asking for update. Kindly look in to it

Worked in backing up my LG Optimus G Pro in 20-25 minutes 445Mb of data. People who are complaining must have slow wifi. App was easy to use, it detected my existing google drive account and allowed the backup to go there. It even detected my phone make and model. Nice!

This app was great but now it just asks me to upgrade. Not great since now I have no way to restore my files on my phone!!!! Pleas post and older version without the upgrade feature. I kind of want to restore my files!!

Use this mainly to backup and restore contacts to different device. Able to backup & restore but after reboot contacts disappear. So I need to restore it again and then export it using the built in app. Reboot then import using the built in app. Otherwise keep disappearing. Using Chinese brand phone device. Please rectify this.

I got a new phone and now I can't restore all my information I backed up off my old phone. It wants me to pay for it. I don't understand this?!

Useless app. From the image in the play store you would think you have all the features but once you download it, the only free feature you can get is the sms backup, the rest are only available if paid.

I dont know why when I selcet storage is External SD Card but it always notice "backup fail" and it stop.. I have license version. Can you help me know.

I feel confident . dismounted 64 gb micro stuffed usbb in adaptor win 7 got it. checked it out sent to a apple. they worked 540 with somefaces

I've been using this app for years and now when i try to set it up on my new phone it loads up only to show me the option to buy the premium version. I can't even use the free features. Although I've used most the the premium features for years now without having to pay for the app a second time. Absolutely terrible when a quality app goes to garbage.

Backed up photos and when restored they were all blurry. When i switched phones from Xperia z to s5, the back up does not work and keeps giving me restore error

Used this to back up my messages, said it had 400 messages backed up but after trying with two separate programs only restored 20, caused me major problems!

I loved this app but now I can't get into it! I had the free backup account now I can't access it because your app is basically forcing me to upgrade to premium! What kinda mess is that!?

The free version used to work and I like the app but now it will not let you restore or backup without paying for the upgrade so what's the point of the free version and why would I pay for the premium version if there are bugs in the free one. App developer don't know what he/she is doing obviously because this issue has been an issue for 4 months now. FIX IT OR U LOSE it. Don't believe the people, try them. I'll contact Google Play services and report this app.

Backed up on free version, on New phone now as old phone died (bricked) and wanting to get at the very least my contacts but this app just loops to the upgrade screen. Having read other reviews looks like having faith in this app was a mistake and upgrading would not provide the answer Disappointing doesn't inadequately convey my feelings. Seriously !

App has made a backup to my Dropbox which is the main thing, but after nearly a year of use I've yet to get the schedules to work. I ALWAYS have to make the backup manually.

This app did not work at all for me. I get the message 'File creation stopped' and the backup process stops every time.

This app used to work amazingly. Now however it won't restore my contacts after I restored my phone. For this I have to give it 1 star

........ all I ever get is "File creation failed." Uninstall here I come!!

Easy UI without a lot of complicated settings. I backed up my music & pics easily to Google drive (included with your Google account), which gives you 15 GB of storage for free. Most backup apps charge you for storage. Yes, the music files especially took a little longer to backup, but I had it done overnight when my phone is plugged in & on WiFi. I'm sleeping anyway, so who cares then? Very happy with this!

You can also restore your massages and contacts in other smartphones...

I downloaded this app a few years ago when I didn't have cloud access and I've stuck with it since. I adore the options and interface. It's super simple. I also like that it doesn't back up double copies of anything, only new data since last backup. Highly, HIGHLY recommend it!!! It can take a few hours if you have high volumes of data or an old phone- but still worth it to keep the info when changing phones, in my opinion.

All the ppl who r saying bad abt this apps are dumb or don't deserve to use android. This app is absolutely fabulous .backed up all my data n restores well ....ty

Took a few days but it transferred (backed up) all of the 2000 songs to my Google Drive account. Even when it disconnected or I had to restart my phone it picked up right where it left off. Thanks

Had download some time ago and backed up then device before buying new phone believing my photos (of my children) could be saved then restored. Have since tried several times to get back old photos, but failed everytime!!

NOT AS ADVERTISED!! YOU CAN ONLY BACKUP YOUR CONTACTS!!! How can this be reported? Reviews alone is not good enough!!! I can only update this everyday until P S responds to my flagging!

Backs all my important data to either Google drive or Dropbox. Could not find a free back up for my music, this one worked. Recommended it.

So far I've been making a backup and its taking some time because of the apps but its still good. If anything wrong happens I'll edit this post .

Like the title says I just needed to save my music without the bother of computers. Still have all my music , playlists are gone but don't really care about a playlist when I can queue whatever up with google music player ... Aye. #Rns

This is amazing i just got a new phone and i downloaded the app and now the stuff from my old phone is on my new phone you have to get
