About Campos Eléctricos
This application lets the students study the issue of electric fields of the physics subject. To do so, the application gives an overview of the theory taught in physics classes, an assessment tool and a simulator that shows the field lines generated and the electric potential at a point given a set of point charges beforehand.
The pages displayed on abstract theory of the application allow them to enter formatted text, insert images and generate any element that can be included in the body of a webpage and the mathematical formulas using the tool Mathjax (see https://www.mathjax.org/).
Regarding the questionnaires, we have two types of evaluation. The first is a self-assessment questionnaire that allows students to check their knowledge, whereas the second one is a questionnaire which sends the results to the professor once filled (only available for students at the University of Valladolid). Both the questions and possible answers to the questionnaire can include formatted text or formulas.
Both the questions from questionnaires and the theory pages are updatable by the Professor.
As for the simulation, the application determines the field lines generated by a set of electrical charges arranged on a surface. Additionally, the electric potential at a point in space can be calculate.
The application has been developed by Antonio Pesquera Rodríguez as part of their final degree project led by Dr Manuel Angel González Delgado (TIA Group, University of Valladolid).
