EDIT; I love this latest update. Great idea of the quick send on delayed sends.Bravo! End edit I've been using Textra for about 2 years now. I just got another phone and tried 2 other messaging apps. I missed to Textra within 2 hours. Constantly improving. Perfect balance of customization,that just make sense. Meaning It doesn't ignite my OCD. World class customer service that responds in kind always. Other developers THIS IS HOW ITS DONE

I've been using this app for texting for a while now. I paid for the ad free version when the trial ran out when I first got the app. I love it! I like being able to change everyone's conversation color. Sending gifs was a huge plus cause I can't do that with the standard keyboard on this phone. AND I can send video from within the app and it'll actually go through, look good to the person it was sent to. If you're iffy about getting this app, just get it and pay for the ad free part, I promise you won't regret it

Textra is a very useful SMS and mms app and it's very an idea app for problem solving in android 6 due to how it (android 6) convert SMS more than 3 page to mms. But my observation was that on the new version 3.39 released August 1 2017 where we've been told you can confirm sending SMS than delayed option there before is not confirming it instead set delayed time. Developers we need improvement on this and try bring using pictures as background images and chat images. Thanks

I love the versatility of this app! I recently had issues with not receiving messages from my husband and reached out to support, using the native Android messaging app in the meantime. Max responded to my emails quickly and had it figured out it no time! Now I don't think my husband is ignoring me and I don't have to use Android's crappy app!

Since last review I've switched from an S5 to an LGG6. The backup and transfer SMS process was pretty painless (even with a 3rd party app) The additions made to delay send are nice. The animation is pleasing, too, I noticed it immediately. Still 5/5 thanks =)

i tried all the SMS apps i could find at one point a couple of years ago and i liked Chomp, but that lead me to their other messaging app, Textra. after a week or so of using it i realized i liked it better than any other Play app, and a few months after that they offered an ad-free Pro version, and i had already happily donated a couple bucks. this app is great with intelligent settings and useful features. this app would be 5-Star perfect for me if they would add Auto-Reply-Text functionality. it's the only option i can even think of that it doesn't already have. that way when you're mowing the lawn it can auto-respond to texts and calls with a message that says "mowing lawn" and now people will know that it will probably be 45 mins at most and they can call back then. it can also help when you go somewhere loud and can't hear your phone ring with full volume by letting people know that u will check your phone periodically for missed calls. PLEASE ADD AUTO-REPLY TEXT ABILITY PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!

A great app and one the first I forked out money for, worth every penny easily. One feature I'd like to suggest is an archive conversation option to move a conversation out of the main view. I won't be texting PayPal/my bank etc back but I'd like to keep them for future reference.

I have been using Textra since it started. And love it so much. I bought to pro version when it was available. It's such a good looking app and runs so smooth. Great to see that the developers listen and allow for user suggestions! Thank you!

So many people think this is a messaging app. It's not. It's an sms replacement. Under the ideas tab in textra, so many people leave ideas that apply to messaging apps. Ideas like read receipts aren't possible for sms. Wifi texting isn't avaliable for sms. That would be a carrier feature. If you're looking for a messaging app, this isn't for you. If you're looking for a customizable replacement for the stock messaging app, this app is gold.

Just edited my 1 year ago review from 4 stars to ⛤⛤⛤⛤⛤ 5 Stars. MANY improvements and features in the last year. AND... they're adding and improving even more all the time. This is hands down the BEST textual app I have used.

been having a problem with this app since a couple days ago. check all my setting sand everything is how it should be but I no longer get any notification of any texts I get. no sound, vibration or icon in the top screen. >.< I love this app but this is annoying...

Simple and brilliant. I have uninsatlled all the other apps after using this. Looking for a nifty option - Provide Delete option to the notification message. That'd really help.

I really like Textra... I just wish it would indicate that I have a text other than the light... Like a number of text I haven't read on the Textra symbol even when you have only 1 text...

Ohh textra what happened to the delay sending ? after update i can't see countdown time .. please bring back old one please !!

How the hell do I flip an image that comes out horizontal instead of the original camera viewing that I took vertically?

Republic wireless couldn't figure out my mms issues on Android messages (the only messenger they support) I switched to Textra and have never had a problem since.

Love this messaging app. I've used it since I've discovered it. When I forgot the email I used to buy pro I bought pro again. Best messaging app I've ever used!

Love this app, great features, but really dislike the most recent update to the delay send feature. This needs revision

By far the best sms app, but im still missing that I can see from whom the mms is from, when data is turned off.

The "improved" delay is awful. They put the confirm send button where the cancel button used to be. I've had this app so long that my muscle memory has me accidentally sending messages.

I absolutely love this app. It's come such a long way and has always been better than any other sms app (in my opinion) the default app. However, I hate the new update (as of the beginning of August.) I have a sending delay on my messages to help me catch any typos or realize a different way to word things. The cancel button has been replaced by a *send now* button and I have immediently sent many messages within the last couple hours that have severe typos and it's not going well. The current cancel button and *send now* button need to be switched around or returned to the way things were.

If there's a perfect text app, this must be it. The team is not resting on their laurels though - the app keeps getting better every update.

Change the send delay button back to how it was before the update. I just sent an unwanted text because the button is moved and I'm irritated. 4/5 till it's changed back... I've been a paid user forever.

Love Textra! Full-featured while not suffering from unnecessary bloat.

Works great with my Keyone and BB hub.

Hands down the best texting app that I've used since GoSMS. It's hard to explain why it's so good because everything about it is perfect.
