TextHear Personal Hearing Aid for Android
Brilliant app even recognised me laughing and put ha ha ha in text. I also spoke in a variety of accents and it managed those as well. A god send for people with hearing loss, like me.
Found this by chance and won't now leave home without it!! Fantastic app that even after a few days has already taken the pressure off not hearing family members. It's also very accurate and I, for one, am very appreciative of the developers. Going to share to other deaf and hoh friends. Many thanks.
It is the best helper I have come across although not perfect its wonderfully accurate.
It's useful to a person who have an hearing problems.... Thanks for this App .. .
How does this help me HEAR conversations?
Flippin great. Ive tried a few and this one picks up very well
Amaze how accurate it is on English and Vietnamese.
I have tried a few speech to text apps before, but none has been accurate until now . this one is brilliant. I can't wait for the landline telephone connector to be available
I m a hearing loss person this app good for me. Plz add Kannada and Marathi language
I'm deaf myself and I was excited to discover this from a magazine stating 99% accuracy only to find its more like 10%. Awful and I'm now disappointed
I say brilliant the continuous speech without having to press a microphone is awesome. The best I've used. Thank you very much
Is there a simple way to get this to work? I've had no success at all.
I am hearing impaired in old age, and find this method of subtitling live conversation an incredible aid. I attach the headphones to my phone and get the person I am talking to to speak into the microphone (without putting the headphones in their ears), thus enabling me to hold the phone and read the screen while they speak. It's a bit strange because the first time they do it, it is always a total failure; after that it improves enormously. I have found about 90 per cent accuracy, whereas normally I may miss over 50 per cent of what people say. I have only ever tried it on people who speak good English, ie received pronunciation. It works well even when there is a lot of background noise. It is an advantage that it does not require internet access. However, I would like an extension to the headphone/microphone I use, so that it would allow people to sit further away from me. Does anyone know of one? Or a remote, wireless microphone which would work with the app? Why isn't this app being recommended by ENT doctors? Why do audiologists seem to know absolutely nothing about voice recognition? They are still advising mediaeval systems like sign language and lip reading.
I used it in English and French. Really pleased so far.
This app is very good so far,
Great app
My doctor looked at me funny when I placed my phone on the table to record what he said. I am finding about 70% accurate unless the doc speaks clearly.
The accuracy of conversion is great. In addition, this app tranlates with high accuracy even if I talked a little fast.
I've tried some similar applications, this has a simple operation, a high precision and a quick response. It's the best ever.
The app would not text what I was saying right I'm not impressed especially when I'm a person who has a slight speech impediment
Not accurate at all... if it wasn't for this I would give 5 stars easy to use
tried many times, won't work
This is a wonderful app! I love it.
I like it. Very helpful for me.

Congratulations for developing this app. It was much needed for people like us. I would say it is 99% accurate. Very pleased with it.
