Science News Magazine for Android
I paid $29.99 for nothing, twice! First, 2 days ago I subscribed but had no access to the publication. I tried multiple times that day & the next & sent email to the listed contact, member@societyforscience No answer. Yesterday, I tried to sign in to the publisher's web site to ger access. My email was not recognized. Today I called the publisher & found it has no record of me, but would not from a third party merchant. Google play is not listed as an authorized subscription agent. Google Help walked me through troubleshooting steps including a refund & reorder, but no joy. I was OK with a second cancellation & refund, but think this whole misdirection of the user & lack of transparency stinks & verges on fraud.
The app is faithful to the page layout of the print magazine but the text mode has no control over the tiny font size. Other magazines do a better job of publishing their digital edition.
The content is great, but the font is WAY too small. The font should be better suited for reading on mobile devices.

Content seems to be the same as the magazine. But there's no way to enlarge the fonts, and it only works in portrait mode. Please refer to the Economist app to see how to do it correctly.
Easy to use, and a way for me to catch up on my Science News backlog from my phone.

Convenient way to access your existing Science News subscription. Biggest con is that only about half of the content can be offloaded to the SD card ... So it can take up a lot of space. Also the most recent update (v32.0) seems to be broken (indicates my subscription does not allow me to download or read the current magazine).
