Nuts & Volts Magazine for Android
Annoying and difficult to us hard to make the text large, no index no bookmarking, a shame you can't access this content on a much better reading app ie kindle.
App description gives the impression that the magazine is free--it isn't, of course.
You cannot access downloaded magazines unless you have a network connection. The magazines are very good but this subscription method is a ripoff. Go to the n&v website and subscribe there. If you subscribe here, your login will not be recognised on the website. This is a total POS
Does not work on Samsung S4 android kitkat 4.4.4. Just spins. Does not open magazines. My internet speed is 20MB.
This app will never let me see the latest issue. I have to go to the website and download the pdf and view it in adobe reader.
Fantastic magazine something interesting in every copy
Great mag and I look forward to the mobile app to save my having to make shopping list!
I have been waiting for this app for a loooong time, and it's finally here! It works like a charm :) Sadly, it only goes back to the Oct '12 issue. Hopefully they'll end up getting more issues up. I love this app!
Very nice but having problems centering the page on the screen after page-turns, otherwise love it.
Great ideas in hsrdware and software
Very happy that this runs on Android and Kindle. App works great and very easy to login--just your email. No messing with account numbers. Good stuff.
But I am having issues with the centering also on the Nexus 7.
Great app.

Horrible horrible horrible reader! Let me count the ways..... 1) It doesn't save your place in the magazine. Every time you go to read an issue, it starts on the cover and you FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, your way to the page you left off on, if you remember where that was. 2) There is no quick thumbnail navigation to any specific page nor any way to get to a specific page number. Reading an article on page 10 and it says "continued on page 63"? FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP, FLIP. Then you get to flip your way back or you can exit and re-enter the magazine to start at the cover. 3) Poor zooming function. 4) It loads magazines into your device but then requires an internet connection to actually read it. Too bad if you're on an airplane, or in an area with no cell service. 5) There's no way to remove locally downloaded issues. You have to nuke the whole installation (or the cache/data store) and re-install. 6) You can't get downloaded PDFs if you subscribe this way.
