FLASHLIGHT - Required to use the camera flash on some older devices
WAKE_LOCK - Optional, to allow to keep the screen on
SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW - Helps widget responsiveness on some devices
Edit: Used to be five stars, but apparently it's been abandoned. It doesn't work on Marshmallow so I doubt it will work on Nougat, which is rolling out was we speak. I had this app for years, though and even paid for it. Alas . . .
I purchased the Tesla LED app when I had a droid bionic on Verizon and it worked great. Now that I upgraded to the newest droid maxx, it does not work. Any plans to support it? James
I loved this app and used it frequently. After upgrading to a Samsung S7, it fails to open. The developers email listed does not exist.
Works very well but a bit slow in response on my Nexus 5. The only flashlight app I am aware of that integrates with Tasker.
Despite its lack of modes compared to the competition, it's still the best because the developers respect your privacy. Works well enough although there's a lag when using the widget.
Is this app no longer supported? Not working on my Note 4 & Note 7. This was one of the best torch apps out there. Please, please, please fix it.
While it works great on two of my last three phones it does not work on my current LG Stylo 2 but crashes immediately when it's started.
Used to love it when I had my Samsung S5, but have since upgraded to an HTC ONE M9 and does not work at all. Don't remember what I paid for the app but obviously money well spent.
Try the free one with no ads. I bet you'll like it. Then come back here and give these people a DOLLAR. Awesome.
The flashlight itself is great, with all the modes that one can possibly need, such as strobe, screen light, Morse code and more.
I've put this on every Android I've had, but now it doesn't work on my LG Stylo 2 Plus. Will reinstall if it gets updated to support newer phones.
Im more than happy to donate for this great app. Absolutely LoVe the Morse code feature. But I don't really care for the bulb illustration, I don't see how a compact fluorescent fits with the use of a LED. But thats just my opinion.
But I decided to pay for it because this is such a good, clean app that doesn't require multiple permissions or have privacy issues. I love developers like this....wish there were more.
Really like this app but it keeps force closing every time that I try to open it on my lg g4
Widgets crash while trying to add to home screen. Last updated 2011.....
After reading so many good reviews I bought this app. I needed one right now! Its 2am and I just lost all power n the house. After installing the flashlight app I tried to turn it on but it did not work. I tried messing with the settings for different phones and still it did not work. I tried to get a refund and went to the Google app but Google could not refund my money. I only wasted a buck. I'll try another app. Update... App is mysteriously working still didn't work when I needed it to... :/
I bought this app b/c of the highly rated reviews and the fact the dev did not ask for an unnecessary number of permissions. All that is well and good, too bad the app DID NOT WORK FROM THE GET! I've reported, refunded, repurchased, reinstalled & now I am STUCK with A USELESS app which won't open on a Blu R1 HD. Thx Dev.
It will not even launch! Crashes out to a close or report popup every time i try launching it! Utter disappointment for a PAID app! I'm using an LG V10 with all the latest updates & running Nova Launcher. Devs, get on the ball & fix this lemon or remove this rip-off paid app from the Play Store!!
Permissions that don't require an evil amount of access to your device and info, features that are relevant and could save lives in an emergency (Morse code, strobe, etc) & Tasker integration - donated because I wanted to not because I had to. Thanks, dev.
I've used this flashlight app on every device that needed a 3rd party one. Very bright. Droid Maxx.
I'm hoping for an update soon. Otherwise I will uninstall and request a refund.
This doesn't work with android marshmallow.
Replacing my former flashlight because I couldn't find it again for new phone. This one's better! And I looked at a bunch of them. Simple to use, no out of the ordinary permissions, and well worth the buck it costs.
I Donated purely because your integrity and honesty. While other flashlights on the Playstore are marketed as flashy and cool, the endless sea of drones who fail to read the permissions and PRIVACY POLICY of those more catchy flashlights are freely sacrificing their personal info and each time they turn them on, kb's of data forces through the network with their collected information. Some to China, some to Russia. TeslaLED uses only 2 permissions. *camera = LED, *wake lock = to keep the light on. ThanksDEV
Modes include: continously flashing SOS in Morse code; a little light that's on when your finger is on the screen, then off as soon as you lift it (perfect for cat burglars); police lights (to use on your drunk friends); variable strobe (for impromptu raves). Used on a Samsung Galaxy S5.
The Morse code flashing could be just a bit slower. For example, it's difficult to tell if the S in Morse code flashes 2 vs. 3 tįmes. A couple more milliseconds between flashes would have it be more recognizable to someone not expecting to see a call for help. Otherwise, the best flashlight app I've seen. Pay the buck and reward the dev for neither privacy intrusions nor ads.
Tesla is the best because it provides a basic flashlight function with the fewest permissions required! Thanks
But I decided to pay for it because this is such a good, clean app that doesn't require multiple permissions or have privacy issues. I love developers like this....wish there were more.

I looked around before I chose which flashlight app... I saw others accused of spyware etc. I forget now which review brought me to this one but it was convincing. No bug-me's or any extra permissions so of course that is welcomed. After using it, it's a keeper. Well thought out features... it sits on my phone's utmost primary screen now. It does strobe and blue/red etc. All good.
Settings menu causes the app to force close in lollipop. Tried to send email to developer but email addresses no longer exists as it just bounced back undelivered.
Good clean app, but: only on the donate version, using the CyanogenMod lockscreen, if you try to assign the LED toggle to a shortcut the app crashes. Doesn't happen on the free version. Huh. Update, also on Nexus 5 with stock Android 5.0, trying to create a widget crashes the app... That is lame. Back to the free version!
The flashlight itself is great, with all the modes that one can possibly need, such as strobe, screen light, Morse code and more.
Awesome Flashlight..
Would love to see a lock screen widget for stock jelly bean though
Ad free.. Worth the buck.
Because you've just found the BEST flash, strobe, & more light app out there!!
So good I paid for it
Very clever, clean, lean app. Doesn't want network access or location services like other widgets do.

Flashlight worked beautifully on my Note 4, until I had to do a factory reset (on Marshmallow) today. Now, the app (and ine of tbe widgets) crashes when launching. The other widget seems to still work, though. Weird!
