Used this today. Forgot my club card and was about to pay using my debit then remembered this app. Literally took seconds. Much faster than scanning a club card and then having to pay on the machine. Update: I now use this on 99% of my visits to tesco. Much quicker than card payment. I think staff need a bit more training with it as often the response is "ooh I've never done this before" but no trouble so far!

i think it will be easy to use if it ever comes to my area but still waiting. Update.after 8weeks trying the app.sometimes it will scan at the till and half the time it won,t. if it does scan the till operator says its asking for alternative payment method 5 seconds later it goes through and then some times i have to sign as well.WAKE UP TESCO

U70%
by U####:

Super easy, especially for staff of tesco as we don't carry money on shift. Just scan phone and instantly pay add club card points and receive staff discount. I would like to see the app display a notification to pay with the app when inside a tesco, Android pay does this. I would also like to use it on self scan and scan as you shop, some thing that it does not do currently with my phone.

Have tried several times to add different payment cards, each time it says something had gone wrong please restart the app. Edit : turns out the app doesn't work if you have verified by visa turned on

U70%
by U####:

The PIN entry screen is very temperamental. Sometimes have to restart the handset to make it work - and sometimes that doesn't solve it and I give up and pay by card. It's proving very difficult to claim the points Tesco are offering to use the app when it doesn't often work properly.

U70%
by U####:

Quick it ain't! Every time I used it at my local store, it crashed the till! We had to get the supervisor to find my transaction and print the receipt from the master till, an extra 10 minutes wasted every time I used it, absolutely rubbish.

U70%
by U####:

Been using this for a while now, not 5 stars because when the app gets an update it signs me out (end up scrambling at the checkout to sign in again) but once set up and working it's SOOOOOO easy and fast at both normal checkout and self service! Just used it at tesco opticians! I don't bother carrying my club card anymore

U70%
by U####:

It only looks like u have to have data on to set the barcode daily. So I have to turn it on daily to use it. I see now store WiFi is working I could use next time. Sometimes cash is simple to use

U70%
by U####:

Signed up on web browser fine, but App doesn't work. Fields for inputting data do not work, not responsive I.e. cannot use keyboard to type and input user name/ password etc...

M70%
by M####:

Just noticed a news article saying this had now gone national so installed today. Have used it twice now, once at a manned checkout and once at self service and it worked a treat. The £250 limit is an advantage over Android Pay plus the automatic addition of you club card points. Only minor inconvenience is the additional requirement to enter a PIN. Get finger print support and it'll be a 5 stars for me.

I set up this app and have used it about 10 times with no bother - easy to use for a 70 year old!

U70%
by U####:

Went to Tesco goole today went to use this app till operator had not a clue what I need to do further more had to run out to car to get my wallet to pay by card what's the point of these new app when you Caint be bothered to train the staff first

Just installed on my stock Samsung Galaxy S5. App comes up with a big red exclamation mark stating "The PayQwiq app won't work on phones that are rooted or if malware is detected". My phone isn't rooted and I'm pretty sure it doesn't have malware. If I was less tech savvy, I might now be concerned that my phone was infected with Malware, rather than the developer being infected with incompetence! Does this app really contain malware detection that is superior to Avast and other anti-virus apps which think my phone is clear? I doubt it. Why is Tesco messing about with it's own payment system when I have a Tesco credit card that I still can't use with Android pay or contactless?

U70%
by U####:

The first time I used this app it wouldn't work. The second was self service and it hadn't been set up. The 3rd it wouldn't work but put clubcard on. The 4th it worked. After that one day it'll work another it won't. Good idea but I'm not sure if it's for me

J70%
by J####:

I tried the app for the first time in my local Tesco store, but it wouldn't even recognise my phone, the member of staff gave the self service checkout a hard whack, but still didn't work. We decided to try another checkout, but again still the same problem. My phone is a Nexus 6, so it's not like it's an old phone that wouldn't work.

Great idea linking clubcard with payment card to make shopping quicker, I've wanted to try android pay but have not been able to as yet. The only frustration is that I noticed an offer of upto 500 clubcard points was available up till 15/1 but my local Tesco could only start to accept it from today. Can the reward for signing up be changed to allow for this. Also is there a plan to do offers when using the service in other retailers stores as per android pay. This would make it more appealing to people

U70%
by U####:

Does not work with Cyanmogen so it was a waste of my time installing it. This is the first app I've ever used that is deliberately designed not to work on a standard version of Android.

U70%
by U####:

The app opens- it makes its promises - it then says let's get started- after that it just ignores me completely.

U70%
by U####:

Didn't really see the value of using this over contactless but I thought I'd give it a go to see how it worked. However the nearest store which accepts it is 60+ miles away.

U70%
by U####:

Absolutely Rubbish. Tried registering only to be told I can't use the same email address as my Tesco shopping account, so started again with a different email address, only to be told my clubcard number is already registered to another account.

T70%
by T####:

Looks good! Added card but haven't used in store yet. One bug I have noticed, when opening the app or returning to main screen it keeps adjusting my screen brightness to max.

U70%
by U####:

Lots of staff haven't seen this process before, they don't know that it's a thing that exists. But otherwise a good app

A70%
by A####:

This app was working great before Christmas but ever since then the barcode does not scan. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app but it no longer works for me so PayQwiq is a bit misleading if you ask me. I always use scan as you shop but I reported it to a member of staff and she confirmed it does work at the normal tills so maybe it's a problem at the scan as you shop tills???

U70%
by U####:

Is this why we can't have Android pay? Really silly tesco...

T70%
by T####:

I used this in several tesco stores each time till shows as processing the transaction for ages then asks I still wish to continue even though transaction show up in transaction history on app instantly. Even called help line while in store and was told it was a incorrect club card number causing the problem .even though the app displays club card points total. Tried again today still freezing till so another 20 mins wait. Not quicker at all !!!!!!

U70%
by U####:

This used to work on my OnePlus One running CyanogenOS 13 but now it's decided that my phone is rooted or has malware, which isn't the case.

U70%
by U####:

Claims my phone is either rooted or infected with malware. I'm not rooted (Thanks PoGo...), Android Pay / Amex pay work fine, and if it suspected a malware infection it would be nice to tell me what it thinks it wrong with my phone stead of simply denying access.

U70%
by U####:

Works about 1 in 10 attempts. Either QR code cannot be scanned or terminal informs me "item cannot be recognised". As a result I cannot recommend.

U70%
by U####:

Works well in Tesco stores but would like to use my Tesco credit card in other places as well. When are you going to support Android Pay?

Q70%
by Q####:

Great app. Have used several times on my S7Edge on both self service and manned tills with no issues. Have to use hand scanner on manned tills and upright scanner on self service to scan screens. Fast and easy payment Great work.

Forgot my wallet so decided I'd chance using this app. Worked great! Fast and reliable. Will use it every time at Tesco now.

U70%

Hi, So far PayQuik has been very simple to use, quick and easy. I work for Tesco so make scanning my privilege card easier as instead of using two cards I use one barcode. One improvement would be to allow for login with fingerprint as is a feature on the iOS version. Would be 5 Star!

U70%
by U####:

Takes too long to use so may as well just use contactless card. Have to unlock phone, find app, open app and tap in app pin before can use. Why Tesco Bank won't just allow their cards to be added to Android pay I don't know. Just switch card providers and use Android Pay instead for a far easier and faster payment. Plus hardly anywhere accepts it!

Y70%
by Y####:

Rubbish. Used first time and such a poor experience. Should have been quick but transaction was hanging on till and checkout assistant had to reboot to see if it had worked. Couldn't confirm on till and had to go to main terminal to print receipt. All in all took 30 mins of my life wasted. Can't see I would want to use again. When I saw the transaction in the app, thought I could see the receipt. No, this app is very limited. Really was this tested properly before release?

H70%
by H####:

Got it for the free points. Apart from that I don't know why it's a better way to pay. Convenient for checking clubcard balance though - Tesco's own app is awful.

U70%
by U####:

Buggy. I can't login to my Tesco account or press any buttons in the app until I restart my phone. Interesting idea and very useful if I leave my card at home but unfortunately I can't access it. UPDATE: Don't use this app with other apps that draw overlays on it. I had my phone in sleep mode which draws an overlay on the app. I can login now. Phone: Motorola Moto G4

Finally rolled out to use everywhere.would have sooner used my tesco cards in android pay but I will use it.wondering if more companys will use their own apps instead of android pay.works a treat by the way.oh and any plans to be able to use the app in other stores other than tesco?

E70%
by E####:

This could be very useful especially if you can't use Android pay. However it is buggy as I've had to restart my phone on two occasions to get it to work. Once it is working, the payment process was very quick. I didn't have to select anything on the checkout, I just held my phone to the scanner.

U70%
by U####:

Ridiculous app, takes forever to use. U need to type in your email address, then type in ur password then type in your pin, then scan the phone. This takes a few minutes to complete. Contactless card payment and scanning club card takes less than 10 seconds.

U70%
by U####:

It accepted my post code then gave me a blank select address box, the process will not continue without the address and there's no manual input option. My house was built in the 50's the data should be there.
