This add-on is already providing plenty of useful api utilities. I hope these utilities shall be extended further to allow more control to us/users. For example, ability to delete spam sms, etc. Hopefully the toast and dialog utilities would mature into a more comprehensive gui-toolkit. Thanks and good luck.

I composed a long text using text editor, such as Emacs. :), and copy the text into X Window system clipboard. To transfer/copy the content to phone, running sshd in Termux. I use a simple X program called x 'xsel' or, you can use old school 'cat' command. xsel | ssh -p 8022 your.phone.ip.address 'cat | termux-clipboard-set' or cat | ssh -p 8022 your.phone.ip.address 'cat | termux-clipboard-set' Paste the content using middle mouse button, and hit Ctrl-D. Now, you can paste it in aap's edit-box.

Great app., Amazingly easy to remotely (SSH) control mobile / tablet. Feature request: I am trying to use tablet as voice output for my home automation. TTS is doing this job well, however, TTS will only procedure when screen is unlocked. Any way to integrate unlocking in API? (it's not about security (PIN etc.)).

This is great. What would be really cool would be to be able to present a ListView from a bash shell array & allow scrolling & selecting an entry & possibly even checkboxing to select multiple items from the array.

Termux is probably my favorite Android app, I would spent some money in it because I think is totally awesome! But, I have been trying to fix this bug of Termux-api no output for a while and I couldn't find a proper solution in any place, and I tried a lot. Edit: Now it's working perfectly! Thanks a lot! Five starts for sure!

Well I'm using it from last few months and never faced any problems, but when I updated to this version (Dated 2017-Apr-10), my AV App reports following: "Termux API: contains malware which may put your privacy, security and financial accounts at risk, we strongly advise to uninstall it." Why is it reporting this, is it because of this new addition of termux-telephony-call or is it really something else. Please clarify. (Decreasing ratings based on the current situation and just to get your attention)

I installed Termux one hour ago and it already deserves more than 5 stars. 1. I can access my phone wirelessly (including photos etc) from my computer. 2. I can access all my computers from my phone and vice versa (ssh) 3. I have python on my phone always which is better than any calculator app. 4. I cloned some scripts to my phone from github. Now I installed this API and a minute later im taking a camera photo with the phone FROM my laptop. And I didnt even root this phone. Amazing.

I spent some time creating Nodejs applications using termux api. So far I'm having a lot of fun automating tasks like reading sms and responding based on the message received.

Hey while installing package termux api it's not working and even its not installing just giving a popup unable to locate.

A good set of tools. Camera api is limited though, no way to cause/control a camera flash etc.

Should be your first thing to install after doing Apt-get update. Provides shell access to Android clipboard, my favorite, and many more system info and interaction functions. Remember to Apt-get install termux-api on the shell too.

I wish there were instructions that would appear within Termux once a person has installed this being that we have to look both in Playstore's READ area and in the referenced website for it, but still it does work eventually, and that's good!

after installing this it didn't add anything, I had to instead install it from the repo inside Termux. also, it'd be nice if it included an ncurses style client for SMS messaging using the API in the vein of mutt or vifm - that would make it basically the nerdiest/awesomest utility on the play store.
