This is the companion mobile app to the QW Home Automation software (controller and administrator....both of which are also free). If you are building a DIY home automation solution around Insteon technology, look no further than QWHA for your control interface.. Even when compared to commercial software, QWHA is by far the best solution to managing and controlling Insteon based devices. There are very few bugs bugs and when bugs are found, they are fixed quickly. It is also extremely stable. I've been running it for well over a year and never experienced a crash. QWHA is truly "set it and forget it". My biggest problem is that when I add a new device, I have to remember how to use the admin program. That's how infrequently it requires maintenance. Yes, you need a PC to interface with the Insteon controller and yes, you need that same PC to configure it with the Admin program. I'm not sure what the reviewer who complained that it requires a PC is expecting. If you get someone else's solution there will be a software based controller someplace in your house and you will be paying for it...OR...you can use QWHA on your existing PC for free. Highly recommended.

The only Insteon app I've seen that isn't filled with bugs or constantly crashing. Props to the developer. If there was a paid version I would buy it

I've found QWHA to be lowest total-cost solution, yet very versatile and reliable for lighting, thermostat, and sensing/relay control. MUCH better than Mobilinc IMO...Kudos to this top notch developer!

Unless you want to have a PC running with installed software, then pass on this one.

It works as advertised. Not sure what the negative reviewers were expecting. Low stars because a computer has to run, really now? How did you think it would work? Bad UI? It's free Einstein. Anyway, thanks for your hard work on this. Works great.
