“Tennis Serve Tracker” measures tennis serve speed using video processing and image recognition technologies. Why is it worth trying it when there are similar apps on market? Because all these apps can be split on 2 categories - first are the ones that do it very, very bad or simply invent measured speed and won’t be mentioned here at all. The others do measure the serve speed, but it’s a lot of manual interactions with setting multiple parameters, like choosing deuce/ad serve type, server height, marking server and ball positions on the standard court image template that has no resemblance to the actual court we see with our eyes. Looks good and the court recognition is very impressive. Although the free version doesn't really allow you to measure the speed unless you buy the full version. I think you guys use the wrong marketing strategy, I would expect to be able to measure the speed for at least 2-3 videos before I am forced to buy the premium upgrade. Anyway I bought the upgrade and calculation works good, at least it gives same level of speed value as other apps, but I believe that due to the court recognition, this app can give much more accurate results. One more thing that I didn't like is the UI to choose the ball hit and bounce spots. I had spent around 10 minutes trying to figure out how to mark these spots before I realized that instead of tapping the appropriate buttons at the bottom right, I need to drag them to the point on the video (also once dragged, make sure it has left the red mark which happens not always and in this case you need to try placing it one more time). And two requests: 1) it would be great if it worked with external videos (so I could try it on some of my old videos or with pro players videos); 2) be able to re-calculate speed for existing videos.

When I open the app and hit start taking, even after buying premium, the camera does not work. It is very pixelated and only takes up less than a quarter of the screen whilst the rest of the screen is blue. The court as a result of thr pixelation is not being found. Please help or refund money.

The description on the free app leads one to believe that you can measure ball speed with the app. But when you press the icon for speed calculation you are told you must buy the pro version.
