OMX Remote (Raspberry Pi) for Android
Good app, but doesn't connect to Raspberry if Wi-Fi without an Internet connection
Very nice app. Suites my needs for a simple way to control my RPi's in a splendid way.
Request for change : in add url , put "add" button on top of the link list... If many links exxist you neef yo do unnecessary scrolls to add new links
When casting to raspberry from the YouTube app you need a couple tricks. I'm running arch Linux and ox player. You ll also need youtube-dl. Change the stream url command to ${omxcommand} "$(youtube-dl --no-cache-dir --restrict-filenames -f best -g "${url}")" . Which will take the stream url and pass it to omx. Raspicast used to do that natively, but is removed from app store. This will take a little while on the pi. For the app it's a little 2 ways. Keeps it simple, but a little more work.
Exactly what I was looking for. Saves me the burden of manually entering commands in an ssh session
do the separated donate app so people can support development cos you heading right direction mate :)
Works great with Rpi3b. Excellent must have if you own android (Nexus 5 Marshmallow).
Great job. Wish I could give you something for your efforts.
I love this app, its working great, 5 star.
Works flawless, thanks for the app.
This is exactly what I've been looking for!
easy to use,works perfect
Brilliant. Simple, but brilliant.
This app is the best if you are using Raspberry Pi as a media device. I mean, i was downloading it, expecting nothing, thinking "wouldn't it be nice if I could plug stuff into it?", and lo and behold, custom URL commands. I thought "This is amazing, I wonder if I can send URLs from a browser?" and yes I could. This + RasPi + omxplayer + youtube-dl + livestreamer = checkmate Chromecast. Thank you for coding this up. I wish there was a debug mode, so I could actually see what's happening in a console session.
Works great. After the last couple updates, no complaints. Looking forward to new features.
Excellent interface to the command line omxplayer. Love it. Love it. Love it.
with a little tweaking, I can even play all my MP3s
Knows how to present everything to omxplayer...even my surveillance camera's RTSP stream could be passed to the player via this app... great job!
Great work! But: Streaming Videos from my Phone or URL-Streams doesn't work.
Feature request : 1)kill option and reattach to omxplayer.bin if the app client lose connection to a running omxplayer.bin process. 2) Multiple profiles to connect to different machines/accounts.
Says unknown error occurred. Need help

I can play video without any mouse and keyboard. Awesome! !

Love this
With this great app, I am able to control videos I am playing on my Raspberry Pi in an easy and simple way. You sir, have made an awesome app.
This is exactly what I was looking for... Was using another, but immediately replaced it with this one. Love the design! Only it would be nice to see what is being played in the notification area and while on the remote acticity. I was actually looking for an app that can also remove files from the pi... Just for a future feature :)
It starts omxplayer in rapsberry pi in a screen session (if enabled in settings), so I can easily control it from a laptop too
must have app for me!

Very easy to use and reliable. Exactly what I was after.
Great work!
It works perfect. It's very useful. But the subtitle option is a bit hidden. The subtitle archive must be long pressed before playing the video. Perfect thanks, the best in the market!

Awesome. However when I closed the app when a movie was playing, it couldn't reconnect to the same session. Can this be fixed?
Everything, absolutely everything I wanted is right there. Well done sir!
Really useful.
...before giving 5 stars I would like to see: 1) unmount drive(s) feature (hint for others - install usbmount package for automounting without running X); 2) left/center subtitles position choice button; 3) Why not? YouTube and other videohosting sites support (through youtube-dl); 4) position bar with seeking (omxplayer can communicate through dbus) :); 5) folders must be first! 6) possibility to play automatically next videos/tracks

Thanks man, I love this app and it works perfectly. One feature request I have - add Bluetooth connectivity. I've taken my Pi to places where I don't get wifi access so it would be nice to be independent of the wifi availability.
