TrapCall: Unmask Blocked Calls

App says FREE but is NOT before you can even check the app out they make you sign up and you have to choose from a plan, basic starting at 12 dollars. Would be better if we could get a free trial but that's not the case. I gave it a 1 star because it's not free

Rip off!!!! You're not confident in your own app because if you were, you would allow users to try it for at least 24 hrs. If u we're confident then you would know they will def love it enough to purchase.. So if I buy it without trying it, I'm the one being robbed for 9.95 a month because I don't know if I will like the app!!!!!

I think I'm not going to pay for something that may not even work. Why would I do that? Free to download but not to actually use. That's the lamest gimmick ever. That's like sending free food to my house then telling me it costs money if I actually eant to eat it. What good is having it sent to my house for free?

The app IS free for download. You DO need a paid subscription for use. You DO get a 7 day free trial. I have used the app in the past, and it's been great. Just restarted my service with them as I am getting calls from supposed IRS and some police department in a state I have never been to. When calling back the number, it just hangs up. Hoping this will stop the b.s. I will edit my review in about a week.

TrapCall worked exactly as advertised. Someone was calling my phone from a blocked number, and wouldn't stop. I used this app to unmask the number, and was able to get the information I needed to make the calls stop. The person was a jilted lover, just not mine. Lol. They were calling the wrong person the whole time.

All my restricted calls cannot be unmasked, it's your phone number in Albany. Then an unknown caller that you can't identify but I Google and get the number. Not happy paying 14.95 and get nothing, I want a refund. Also wanted a trial went to website no trial offered.

Before the new upgrades it worked Great But the latest upgrades to the app are TERRIBLE!! It no longer does what it used to do and I wasted A LOT of Money on the ULTIMATE PLAN!! The Mobile App is less functional and I have to use a computer to listen to my Voicemail and it misses half of it! Best advice IF IT IS NOT BROKE DON'T FIX IT! WHY MESS WITH SOMETHING IF ITS WORKING WELL!! IT WORKED SO MUCH BETTER BEFORE!!

I have Verizon voicemail and want to use it instead of TrapCall.. multiple times TrapCall has switched it to my Verizon voicemail only to have it revert back to trap calls voicemail. This is very frustrating. I like the app, but the voicemail issue is quickly becoming a deal-breaker.

I was happy with this app and the service for the first day or two, but since then it no longer works properly and the costs have increased. I have made two payments now yet I cannot actually use the service. It will text me with caller info/voicemails sporadically, but not consistently; and now I cannot open the application at all. Everytime I attempt to open it I get the following error message: "The connection to the server was unsuccessful." If everything worked as it should I would rate much higher.

This app does exactly what it supposed to do. The cons that it has is, sometimes when you press dismiss the phone doesn't give you the ring back but it does end up in the trapcall app. Also it sucks you have to pay but it's worth it.

Don't encourage this developer by purchasing until they get a working app here. 1. Remove False Advertising that says Free. They will reply it's Free to Downloaded as a convenience for their subscribers. What a bunch of bs malarkey. This should be reported to Google. Sometimes they say doesn't work for Android. If true why are you in the Android Store? Do not trust.

It doesn't tell you that this app is only free to download, not free to use, or with a free trial. What's the point in downloading if you can't try? I've purchased apps that didn't work at all and company would not refund my money or respond in any way, so won't buy unless I can try. I only get maybe one restricted phone call per month so it's not worth paying that much money for. Would have considered maybe a $15 per year or $1.25 per month since it won't hardly be used but not $41 per year.

This app literally saved my life.. I was being harassed by a private caller leaving me disturbing voicemails. I finally found this app to help me discover who the person was. I used the premium. Highly recommend it.

A sham, a very deceptively presented app which is not free, not even the basic version. I was not thrilled downloading this shell of a thing which isn't an app but a gate way software leading to a pay for service. Pay for what?!! Generally a real and true app is just that an internalized functioning application which is programmed for compression, utility to serve a true function on your phone. That's not happening here. No way. I can't believe I used my limited data stream to download this junk.

This app is great, worked perfectly. Caught a stalker ive had for over a month. I was able to tell the police all his details and show them this app, they will arresting him shortly. This is genius. Thank you so much.

It's more expensive than website says. It was working correctly at first then stopped. When I try to send a blocked call to it, it says TrapCall support with my number attached. You cannot block texts. When I blacklisted my other phone the automation doesn't work. I've checked the settings multiple times. At this rate I will be switching to the basic package quickly! We'll see if they improve over this first month! I use a ZTE ZMAX PRO on MetroPCS.

A wonderful app. I was getting Restricted calls, hang ups, death threats for fourteen days. Downloaded and subscribed to Trap call to find out it's my exes boyfriend calling and threatening me. I showed the magistrate, warrant was issued, he's sitting in jail. Well worth the money.

Most of the calls I send to TrapCall come back as "unknown," so don't expect it to magically unmask every annoying call you get. Also it had an entirely stupid and useless habit of adding unmasked callers to my contacts, & deleting contacts I actually want to keep! (Fixed that by disabling some permissions) When my subscription runs out I won't be renewing, & will be uninstalling. [Update] And now the reverse lookup function has stopped working. This app truly is a piece of crap.

I do understand your expense in making a product or an app would have you but there are many out there that do the same thing that you do that aren't charging I don't need a rebuttal I don't need to get messages back from whomever. And it has nothing whatsoever to do with my budget it has to do with the principal in my mind okay I pay too much for my cell phone I'm not willing to pay for an app to stop telemarketers and spam calls sorry it's probably a wonderful product just not for me

The Live Caller ID does not work on Android as per their live chat. Kind of useless. Why would it work on restricted Apple and not Android?

FANTASTIC!! It was highly recommended to stop the constant and never ending flood of harassing scam/spam calls I was getting. The app is free, but the service is not. I very strongly recommend getting this app and subscribing to their premium service. It was one of the first apps I installed on my Note8.

It is not unmasking my blocked calls. My voicemail is messed up and There is no number to contact customer support. They reply and say go to a website to get support and it does not give you support. My voicemail is screwed up I deleted the app and its still not working. Ive emailed tech support, google etc and still no help with this. How do I recieve a refund?

Dint work. Went as far as adding the value bundle on my service provider and still dint activate. Useless app.

It doesn't work I called my cellphone from my landline private and when I rejected the call with trapcall the number came back as a Atlanta Georgia number and I stay in the state of Ohio that is not my landlines number.. bullsh!t

Was going to subscribe until I read in the terms that you charge a cancellation fee equal to the amount subscribed for. That turned me away. Thanks but no thanks.

Primary reason I installed and purchased was so that I would know who was calling me or at the very least have the ability to do a lookup after receiving a call. Since the lookup only work about 1 other of every 10 times (that is being generous) not all the useful in this respect. As for blacklisting, that seems to be working OK but you do have to reject a call for this feature to work as far as I know.

You sent me an email acknowledging the fact that there was an issue and was not working for me and you said you would refund half the money back which is a joke but I agreed yet YOU STILL TAKE OUT $9.99 EVERY MONTH...

The fact that we are being asked to pay before trying it out makes me believe it isn't reliable. Include a 2 or 3 day free trial or perhaps 5 test calls or something. Cause the way it's asking for money right off the bat makes me think the many reviews stating this isn't reliable are true. Like I said if you want to be cheap, offer 2 or 3 free unblocks. But the way it is now, I'll pass. It's clearly not a well-financed app, as they keep emphasizing on the whole "you can get your money back" instead of offering even the most limited trial.

This app works!!!!!!! I was receiving harassing calls for over a week and FINALLY with this app it revealed who the harasser is!! Thank you for your pleasant and wonderful customer service from Lawrence at TrapCall. Now I'll be able to pursue charges and be done with the harassing calls!!!!

DOES NOT WORK. Its a waste of money. doesnt unmask calls. Its just a fancy call log.

Most apps accept Paypal. If you think, I'm giving my credit card # You're out of your mind.

QUESTION..... WHY am I being charged For a service THAT ADVERTISES ITSELF AS "FREE" when I already paid for the initial set up?

It didn't work for me. All calls still come back as private. I want my money back and cancel monthly fee.maybe is not compatible with my device.

OK so its listed as free but as soon as I downloaded it, it was asking for card info....wanting to charge me 9.95 starting the day I use it.....that's not free...I want try before I buy. So I can't say if it works or not

You have to PAY for the service, so I'm not sure where the confusion is. But this is the BEST app ever! Someone had been playing on my phone for over a year. EVERY morning they call from a private number and occassionally at night. Most of the time, they won't say anything, but they play porn loudly in the background. It just became annoying. even when I didn't answer, they would leave the porn messages on my voicemail. Within 1 day of having TrapCall, guess who found their obsessed stalker?!?!?!?! I let the person call me for 1 week, just to make sure I had sufficient evidence, before I busted their bubble! TSK TSK TSK *crazy stalker Ex* I spooked him into thinking the Police had a trap on my phone. This was the best $15 spent!!!!

I think this is stupid, you put free but to even use it you have to purchase.

They want you to pay before knowing if it even works! With all the fake apps they if they have nothing to hide they should give a trail of some kind, unless they only want your money with no services rendered.

Before I purchase this I wanna know if i delete the app after this month will they still charge me??? I hope not all I need it for is to see who called me I'll pay the 9 $ but nothing else. So no extra charge right?? Because it say 9$ every month but if I'm not using it u can charge right?

If you don't want to provide a service don't advertise for it. Every time I want to use the reverse lookup it says 0 look up left even though I haven't used it for past two month. Their customer service is a sucky as their product.

Okay, the app itself is very misleading and confusing. You can read about the in app purchase in the detailed comments left by other reviewers. The support sucks and it can be frustrating, even more so than the Gawd Dam Private Caller themselves I am honestly dis-happy with the service and give the following score based on my experience with it.
