Telstra Wi-Fi Maximiser

Speed test results are not accurate, ookla speed test reports a 76Mbit speed throughput when this app reports only 8Mbit at best. Servers aren't identified in the selection process and thus in this case could be pinging a distant server when a local server is available. This app is for amateurs without any tech experience (or for people who are lazy to research or download more accurate apps themselves) Fairly useless app! Unistalled!

Spent the time, using the supplied app, drawing up the house and "panning" with tools provided so that I could accurately sketch our very long, skinny house, only to find out that when you take room measurements of your home, that component of the app doesn't allow you to "pan" around the home so you can see and identify every room. Wasted fifteen minutes I'll never get back.

Love how you can create your Floor plan diagram and, it creates a heat map showing signal strength in all rooms. Also love the tests that can be done from YouTube to Browser tests etc. Just Awesome.

This is closest application to a very expensive PC solution. Verified the results and I could not be more impressed

The reviews indicate the app is a bit hit and miss. Such is the nature of Android app development. It was a hit here, but that doesn't mean that it will work for you.

Probably shows you great Internet speeds so you think your nbn works fine so when you ring telstra they can tell you everythings ok

I have had this phone for over two years and have tried a number of times to download the 24/7 App but nothing ever appeared. This time I've got as far as downloading it but it still does not work I am getting very tired of spending so much time trying to get things to work on the "Telstra Website" Vivianne S

I installed this thing with hope that its advertised claims might serve me with basic functionality~information. But no way, so many other Apps in this category on playstore are way way better, useful and arguably more accurate. Attn: Telstra, Pls stick to core business of providing *reliable* online access. Let others write your S/W tools to THIER specs and aptitudes.

I use this app to easily map out my indoor and outdoor wifi footprint to help identify the best location for a wifi router. It works for any wifi network you have access to. Just draw a basic floorplan for the house and surrounding property, import it by snapping a photo, then wander to each room, and around the yard, and it will show you the coverage for your network.

So is it my connection or my isp that's rubbish? Continuous drop outs and poor speeds. I'm hoping this may solve some of the issues. But i doubt it...

I just installed this app and was very surprised with the results , ensure your Wifi is turned on only from the device you are using if mobile data is still on you will not get a true reading as it will be compromised.

Helps plan the best position for ur access point. If u don't understand then u know verry little about wifi and can learn to map ur property inside and out plus your shed pl7s back yard. In saying that u can plan to weaken the distance so its not so easy for neighbors kids to try hack ur networks

I can see it being useful, but it uses way too much disk space for my liking. Clearly Telstra do not employ software developers with a sense of optimisation.

To Cham Morrisson, it needs it(permissions for camera & photos) , so when you draw a layout, it can import it! Really, read and then judge. You create a layout of your place, and it shows you the signal strength. Really great application. In short, it helps you make a layout of strength around your home / work, so you can better position the router (if possible), and let you decide if you need a wifi extender.For Dimitri R. Really? Well I'm standing in the padock and still no Wi-Fi. I had better Wi-Fi reseption without it.

Good luck trying to acess my camera Telstra because i have a camera blocking app installed.

Nice and simple. It would be nice to be aqble hide the markers when you export the picture, as it gets a bit cluttered if you are doing a large area

I have a wifi bar at the top of my devoce that tells me signal strength

This app is typical of Telstra when it tries to say something it isn't. It does not maximse and the signal is not okay.

Its not wifi maximizer. Its wifi analyzer.
