Truck GPS Route Navigation for Android
Very generic app, takes you the farthest route possible on fastest route setting and also shortes route. Not worth the money. Slow turn by turn updates rerouting is slow
Lately the app can't locate my position. I use Google maps and it instantly gets my location so I know it isn't my phone. The app is slow or needs an update. I have to close and reopen it multiple times for it to receive my location
First time using this, told me to go down a closed road, been closed for almost a year. Today it wanted me to enter through a secured parking lot and cross over a multitude of rr tracks, then a small field and arrive at my destination from the back of the building where there is no road or lot. The app helped me twice but is obviously unreliable and not worth $14.95 a month. Google maps is free, I will just have to keep my eyes open.
Constant pop ups doesn't track very well. Actually it's asked 32 times to "purchase" and update Anytime I switch the screen. It's still "searching" for best signal, Google maps is working fine
I am not good with computers but this app was easy to learn. I think every driver of a truck still should look out of the window even if navigation is good.
Works great in the city of chicago where i drive mostly as well as the other states here in the midwest I've used it in. This is a great tool for truckers and a great price I'm a 20 year vet in trucking and i have used other GPS systems and this one can run with the best of them. Im an old school driver and i still prefer to use my map first but when i dont i feel confident this will do the job just fine. Keep up the good work guys. * update* I just used this again 3 years later from my earlier posting. I must say it has improved a lot. Still a great app.
This app is okay but not always accurate, It will send you onto an forbidden road and when going to shipper/receiver it will take you out of route
Completely useless. Bought one month subscription because I needed to see bridge clearance for an over high load, total waste. No bridge heights listed in app anywhere.
Bad sync favorites. Moto, Lenovo, Samsung.
There is NO WAY I am able to follow the routing of this app. I use it for merely a SUGGESTION or when I am in unfamiliar areas. This app has routed me through privacy fences, backyards, living rooms, residential neighborhoods, etc... I use this app because I cannot afford a $600 CDL GPS System YET...
The maps are up to date
Work great
Perfect for semi truck routes
Like it thanks.
Love it!!
While a GPS isn't a substitute for safe driving it does take some of the stress off of traveling to new locations. I'm relativly new to to trucking so Smart Truck Route has been an invaluable app for me to get me to my destinations in a timely manner. Paying attention to the road is always your best bet, but this app has assisted me in getting freight to and fro. Thank you, Smart Truck Route!
It needs to be better for New York and New Jersey. I was right around the corner from my destination in New Jersey. I had to make a right, and I would have driven into their driveway. I was told to make a left. Sometimes it makes you go further than you have to, to get to your destination. For Yonkers, NY, it made me go down tight streets, ok for a bus, but not a T/T.
Fairly decent app, however it took me on a route with a 12 foot bridge clearance # Thank goodness it was Sunday and I was able to back up a block. It also is not great on a lot of turns. You really have to be alert using this app.
I have never wrote a bad review on anything I have purchased on Play Store, ever! however this is by far the worst application I've ever spent money on. I don't know what is worse, getting a ticket because the app took me down a no truck route or the fact that I cannot get my money back for buying this stupid app. Very inaccurate directions, last minute warnings to take exits. I even took a picture to show proof that the app was messing me up but they will not give me my money back. Do not ever purchase or download any of this company software. Ever!!!! Minus five stars!!!!!!!
I have this app but unfortunately not as great as I thought. It wants to take me down dirt roads. I'm a cattle hauler and it doesn't seem to work as well as my regular GPS or even Google maps.
They helped me many times. I broke my phone couple of times and they helped me to transfer to new phone every time. Never if a bridge with this app.
I use your app, not only for routes, but also for my Truck speed. Peterbilt is notorious for fuel and speed gauge malfunctions, but since I've had this app, no tickets. I advise Professional Drivers to use this app in conjunction with Google Maps, because there are a lot of Truck friendly State Routes all over the country that this App obviously isn't aware of. Also, look at your customer site with satellite view before going in, because the app is known to bring you into the customer's property through neighborhoods or gates no longer in use. Use your common sense.
Routed me over light bridges. Cant find adresses. Requested refund within 48hrs and unable to submit refund form. Don't waste your money. Totally worthless waste of money.
Worked great for a year. Today it started crashing. Keeps shutting down. Restarted phone and reinstalled app. Still crashes. Thank God I pay only monrhly
Does everything EXCEPT show you the best truck route, or ANY truck route. But I only spent 10 minutes trying to figure it out and trying all the menu buttons.
I have installed this application about a year ago. Its good application that helps you. Although i noticed something that need to get improved. #1. It uses a lot of internet traffic, for exmple i drive from Buffalo to LA 4 times a month, and i drive the same road. All maps are needs to me re-installed everytime. Sorry, we pay for traffic, why not to use offline maps? #2. If you drive in NYC it brings you under low bridge be carefull. Good i dont go often to NYC. I will send a message to you, i cant call
I'm a slip seat driver already carrying a radio and whatever else. This is is great on my phone, one less piece of equipment to carry. Hasn't steered me wrong. So glad you can back up favorites to drive. I've been using this app for 2 years.
Inferior search results. Crashes easily. Can't switch apps and still hear audio. Switching apps often bugs it out and makes you have to re-enter address
Exact same problems as Allan goat (previous poster). I'm in Sydney Australia too, absolutely useless in fact dangerous here. Sygic is the way to go in Sydney
SCAM!!!! Had to remove my true opinions about this app because these people cut off the subscription I already paid for because I gave this 1 star. FREE is just as good if not better. For now, hat a wonderful app! I have taken my truck down dirt roads, into trailer parks and over many medians while performing illegal u-turns. You won't find a more adventurous route maker on the market.
I drive a car hauler and can get up to 14ft tall. But because I only have 5 Axle's it automatically makes me set for 13, 6 and won't let it set my actual height. Why pay for it if I can't use it?
The app is dangerous to use in a city like Pittsburgh because it keeps sending me down residential streets that a large tractor trailer won't fit on. My other complaint is no real time traffic so when I approach an area that has a backup I need to switch over to Google Maps to see what the delay is. Then when you do this you switch back to this app and you have to re-enter the address because it doesn't run in the background. The last complaint I have is you cannot find places along your route like a truck stop easily. Yes it has the drop-down menu for but you have to guess where these places are and if they are going to take you out of route. Seems kind of expensive to use for the flaws that it has. I was going to sign up for the three-year plan but I figured I better just do the month to try it out . Not sure I'm going to renew because of the issues I have.
I think it has come a long way & it has a long way to perfection but they seem to try to get it right and that is all u can ask for...
This app is getting better and better. Should I switch to your version 2?
I am am switching to smarttruckrout2. I tested both versions and I see that routes are the same but user interface better on v 2.
I really like it i did pay for it.the only thing is when i was in jersey it seemed to get lost it self.i need to learn to trust a little more
Nice app. Just need too update boston MA more. Almost took me down a no truck exit off the highway.
I used the free version and it's routing suck for example the freeway was directly to my right to get on but was taking me a totally different route through a frontage road to get on which was 2 miles away out of my way. This happened twice not too updated with their routing option
I deliver groceries for a local chain. My direction book gives directions from the warehouse to each individual store. The problem is I deliver multiple stores on one trailer and back tracking to a common intersection between stores wastes time and adds miles. This app takes the guess work out of my "self routing". I love it. The turn by turn feature is just what I needed. The only issue I have is it repeats common sense directions continually. I have the "simplified instructions" option turned off, I like that it tells me to take the next exit 2 miles before, reminds me at 1 mile and again when I reach the exit, but as I come down the exit I DO NOT need it to tell me to merge with flowing traffic 3 times in the space of 30 seconds. AS a professional driver I KNOW I NEED TO MERGE. Please fix this in a future update...detailed instructions are great, treating me as if it is my first time in a motor vehicle is not needed and is annoying.

This app is ok. Ive used it for 2 years. Sometimes it chooses to have you get off on the wrong exit and take the ling way around. Sometimes it tries to get you to turn down screwy roads. It is a paid app. Recently I found My One 20 It is just as good. Maybe better and it is free.
