Teleprompter Pro

I hope we can export created script in the app. It would be great if there is a cloud back up feature and a remote access to start pause or forward the prompter from another device. Finally, i cannot find the directory for my external memory card. Thanks

Good but because its on a phone its fiddly to get the script onto the phone. we don't want to type a script using a phone keyboard. it woudl be great to have a companion app on a windows pc that you could type scripts into and "send" them right to the app. right now we type them in google docs then cut and paste the doc into the telepropter app. being able to write it in google docs and have it available right on the app woudl be a 5 star

When editing a script it is not possible to scroll up/down the page in the normal way - you have to move the cursor. Weird! Also would like to be able to edit the script name.

I'm using the Pro version of the app. I have an issue, if I try to delete a script the icon of the chosen one will start shaking until I click on "Stop deleting", but the script won't be deleted. Is this a normal behaviour?

Pretty bad interface. Phone goes to sleep mid script. Not great.

Great app! It works great for me. I use Google docs to import the script. You just have to find the right font size and speed. Don't use spaces between paragraphs, mark them using symbols like ((())). Use the tablet or phone horizontally otherwise you'll see your eyes scanning. Smaller devices work better when you are close to the camera. Very important to practise before shooting.

I manage to get it working, but it's really a pain to edit and scroll a script, sometimes it won't scroll and usually the copy paste and "select all" commands are unavailable, perhaps it's due rtl right to left language

It whould be nice if you could operate it towards you. So rotate the text and mirror. And bigger text so you dont have to move your eyes when you read. And there are a lot of bugs in the keybordfunktions :( And the dont answer mails. So they dont update the software anymore >*

I have found this program to be a huge benefit when creating voice mail greeting and when memorizing scripts.

Can someone please tell me how to download text documents from my Google drive on to the teleprompter? This app could sure use a place to go to show how to import files.

We wanted to use this for our singing group but it lacks some essential features.

This is a terrific tool for "talking head" necessities. It just works!

Teleprompter Pro

I was looking for a good teleprompter app and this does everything I need. It allows you to connect a bluetooth remote, but more importantly lets you customize the key binds, so I was able to even use my Amazon Echo remote to control it. Other people who think it cant load scripts are idiots, it loaded txt files fine. Only thing I didn't like is it doesn't seem to disable the screensaver, so I had to turn off auto-lock before using it, or else the screen would dim then turn off.

It works great and everything, right up until you have to go and write out the script instead of importing it. You can't move it up and down to edit it. You have to save it then go back to the Edit script button and do it that way. Which is a pain in the butt. But besides that!........ I love it!

Nice to know that some folks take their apps seriously. Been using another paid app supposed to be an "easy prompter", but haven't been able to get it to do what the description says it does: use a local file as a script. (Curiously, the 1 supposed to be "easy" - but won't work on my tablet - is sold by a custom software consulting company. If they can't get an app right, I'd be suspicious of custom software they might write. I certainly can't recommend that one). Comparing the 2, this is far & away the better one for me. Installed to a Samsung Galaxy Note Pro, it's easy to use & so far works with no problems. I would like to see features added, specifically a "cue line" or "focus line" serving as a "target" for users. Also, honestly, a really "Pro" app would allow a script to be displayed on 2 screens: 1 in "natural" orientation (so a prompter op can follow along), and 1 "mirrored" for the reader when using a prompter rig. That, along with underlining, highlighting words in different colors, & applying italics at will would make this truly "professional"; without those, it's more con/prosumer grade. Can those features be added? If not, maybe the "Pro" should be dropped.

Importing documents isn't really that easy. Formatting doesn't translate. Even ' or " appear as question marks. It makes it time consuming to make it easy for the talent. Would be a killer app if you could easily import word docs or pages docs!

this is great for my sheet music. no longer have to carry heavy binders to my jams. only thing that could use improvement is that you should be viable to adjust type size for each individual page. now, all pages have the same type size. however this app. is the BEST for the money.

Works great if importing script from Word. Script editor hard to use, the cursor was hiding under the keyboard. Use this all the time for teaching Sunday school!

Coming from the use of DV Prompter. It was limited in font size for my new, hi-res tablet. This app gets me larger fonts. Unfortunately it is limited in scrolling speed. Also, you cant edit script names after initial save. But I was able to get my Bluetooth remote (which came with my DataVideo prompter) configured to use with app.
