clyd Kiosk Standalone Lockdown for Android
Good to use
Good one
Easy to use, does the job well. The free version is limited to displaying 2 apps, and there's an ad at the bottom of the screen.
2 questions. 1. How do I allow the phone app to be used in the application list. ? 2. Is the pro version restricted to one device or can I buy it and install on all 5 devices ? One minor problem. The add application list is white text (on Sony) so is really hard to read.
There are some things I wish were settings such as... 1. Hide the status bar. 2. Hide the navigation bar (Immersive mode or light out mode). 3. The toast for blocked sections should be optional or at least generic (not verbose). I would totally buy it if those features were there.
I have been trying to use a background image of our company logo with this app, but have not been able to make this work on my Nexus7 first generation. I have tried different image file formats and repeated attempts with no success. I have not been able to find any instructions on the developer website and their tech support is in France, so the time difference creates a 24 hour wait for a response. Anyone been able to make this work? Otherwise, the app seems pretty nice.
This app allows you to control the applications in a secured kiosk window on android tablets used by our sales guys in store. I dont have to worry about them using the devices for anything other than accessing their sales apps!
