From pure consumer point of view the app is useless. A real app must completely substitute a physical remote. I understand the technical challenge but here are two features, the lack of which makes the app of very little value: (1)Cannot connect with ip over home wired network. TV has to be in wireless WIFI mode?! The moment that you connect to wired it stops (2)on/off not possible.

Sometimes it's misleading when you read the reviews on an app. Until you dare yourself to install and try it. I couldn't find a better app for my Telefunken TV. Thank you. But I also advise that there should be an infrared version to help save some data on wifi usage.
