SMSDroid for Android
Totally awesome for making software integrations. I wish it would have even more commands, eg. to delete an sms.
So far so good great idea but having two problems. 1) It gives me my mac address instead of IP 2) after looking up my IP through a terminal app, I used putty to that IP with 7777 port and a window comes up asking for my password. I put the password in that I set on mobile and the window closes. Any thoughts? It would be nice if you got a confirmation when you clicked "Set Password!" so you know that it actually took. Oh and I'm running ICS 4.0.2 on Galaxy Nexus
CAN SOMEONE EXPLAIN DIS APP TO ME..TO KNOW HOW TO USE IT
Doesn't seem to be interfacing with my telnet client correctly. New lines are indented increasingly more for each new line.
Didn't work? What is it supposed to do?
Ok I know this is gonna be a cool app... I want to know how to set it up...can anyone tell me? I'm really not that dumb...I think
Does what it says. Great! Boot up daemon, log in via telnet client and off you go! Sweet!
I don't get it
The solution to my deadzone i like to call home. Finally i can send texts again inside the house! 5-stars
For all you noobs that dont know what this app is, quit commenting and rating. For the people that know what this app is for, it works perfectly!
Lame!

I liked this app. I developed expect script to send customized SMS automatically. Everything works fine on my Sony Xperia S. SMSDroid binds to IPv6 address over WiFi and IPv4 if I use my phone as WiFi hotspot. It is not working on Samsung Galaxy S2. It always bind to IPv6 for both WiFi and WiFi Hotspot. I noticed with Wireshark trace that Samsun Galaxy S2's TCP/IPv6 stack is closing the socket by sending RST+ACK. !! Please guide me, is there any limitation with Samsung phone. Any solution? workaround? Thanks.
