Tegrity Mobile for Android
Come on guys, how hard would it be to keep playing a lecture when you turn the phone screen off? I use this app when driving and it KILLS my phone battery because the screen HAS to be on. I have an hour commute and it is a serious problem. . . .on top of that it will not notify me when a new lecture has been posted. Please work on this app. ☹
There is no way to speed up the recordings and you can't turn the screen off as you listen to it. I try to listen to them as I walk or do house work but if anything hits the screen it will stop the recording. I agree with all the bad reviews.
I don't believe any effort went into building or testing this app... Super buggy, crashes on a whim, no helpful features like audio only, 1.x speed, bookmarks don't work... If you have any other option aside from tegrity for hosting your online classes, please use it.
My classes and videos don't sync and I'm left messing around with the app to get my lectures to come up
No background play so it shuts off if you switch apps. No speed control. Just awful.
Takes forever to download lectures and always says downloads in progress when I haven't even chosen any lectures to download so those are always pending and will not allow me to download what I really need
Why no double speed for android?
Forced to listen at 1X speed.
Needs the ability to play on different speeds
No 2x speed option, and sync it's very slow
Missing the option to speed up or slow down the recording ???!?!??!
Will not generate code..it sucks...
Needs Google cast ability. Also needs to play audio with screen off. Would love to listen to lectures instead of music when I exercise. Ok, negative stars now for not playing over Bluetooth, either. Clearly, those who build this app aren't interested in real life use scenarios.
Unfortunately this is how I listen to nursing school lectures and it never works!
I would rate this app zero stars if I could. Don't waste your time like me. It doesn't work
The lectures audio is perfect... But the slides my teacher does are blurry the whole time and freeze...so although the audio is helpful I need the visual as well. Plus sometimes lectures randomly close halfway through. PLEASE FIX THIS
The videos aren't uploading. This is bad news when your on a tight summer schedule. Can't have issues like this during a fast paced semester.
The app functions as it should however it won't let me lock the screen off so I can just listen to the lectures while I work. I end up leaving the screen on, which not only drains my battery quickly, it leaves my phone screen vulnerable to incidental contact causing the lecture to shut off or jump around. Very annoying.
I can't believe how bad this app is. You thought tegrity on the internet was bad? Try this app and be prepared to appreciate the quality of the online version.
I love the convenience of having my lecture recordings at my fingertips, but trying to move backwards or ahead during the video is absolutely horrible. Please fix this!! Otherwise it's a great app.
PLEASE update to allow listening at 1.5x speeds. You have no idea how easier my life would be if I could listen to lectures on my phone at 1.5x speed. Thanks!

Pretty mediocre app. Does its job, mostly. Should get chromecast support.

I got this app specifically to listen to lectures while I am *mobile*. You know walking or on the go. There is no way of simply downloading the lectures and playing in the background. And this is only the start of the issues this app has. *vomits at lack of Material Design*
This is a great idea with virtually no follow through by the developers. It doesn't save your place. There is no playback speed control. It cuts some of our lectures short while not even offering others. This app gets an "F", which is more than the publishers give about the students/customers.
It is ridiculous that this app is as horrible as it is. Please fix it.
I use this app during long drives to listen to lectures. It's a great adjunct to the online desktop tegrity
Tegrity is a good idea, but for a company like McGraw-Hill who is making money hand-over-fist off textbooks you'd think they could make a decent android app. I had the app for ipod touch for a prior degree almost 3 years ago and it was better. There are no sort options for lectures. There are no playback speed options (which were on the iOS version three years ago). It would also be nice to see just the ones you've downloaded. Look at any decent podcasting app and that will put you in the right direction.
Resuming playback after pausing takes entirely too long. If you leave the application and the return it does not save your place. Also, would be nice to be able to view only downloaded content instead of having to scan through everything.
It varies what lectures show on the mobile app. Some classes don't show lectures at all. Its not worth anything if the lectures are not there.
Cant even figure out how to make the camera turn around and video tap yourself
Videos don't play...says connection connection error
Even though this app is poorly done it will do its job. The app itself has a very poor structure to it. The interface is poorly done. The worst part about this app to me is that if you back out of the app to view a text or email you the whole app resets. Really. Really annoying.
Not consistent across devices. Some stuff shows up on one, some on another. They don't line up with pc at all. Very frustrating to say the least! Considering this is for school......truly a bad design.
It worked great the first few times and now I can't get past 1 min and 20 seconds of a lecture even though it says there's 17 minutes. Not even if I download it first.

I love it I can be in class everywhere in my galaxy note 4...

Much like the airline industry, the makers if this app know that people who have to use Tegrity will have no choice but to use Tegrity. I'm getting the feeling they don't put much effort into making it work as expected. Trying to jump to a chapter restarted the whole lecture from the beginning. Killed app, retried... No fix. The worst.
