This is not your typical reminder app!
Just A Sec offers a unique kind of reminder. While it is active, reminder alerts are sent at the interval you select until you turn them off. This app is designed to keep a task in your mind until you have time to get to it. Just a little nudge to keep you on track and make sure you don't forget to take out the garbage before bed, or send that email once you finish this phone call, or make that phone call once you finish this email...
Just A Sec allows you to record a short audio clip to be played back when the alert is fired. Just press and hold the button when turning alerts on to begin recording! Hold the button down any time while alerts are active to re-record the message.
**NOTE: The interval will not count down when alerts are on, but a blue glow about the metal ring will tell you the alert progress.

* Select volume mode: Default Notification volume, Media volume (ignores vibrate mode), or Alarm volume (ignores vibrate and silent mode)
* "Test Notification" button to check what the alert will sound like before it goes off
* Home screen widget for even faster access

* Read / Write External Storage: used for recording and playing back audio clips.
* Record audio: used for recording audio clips (obviously)
* Modify audio settings: used for recording and silence detection
* Vibrate: self explanatory
* Set alarms: used to set repeated notifications

Does just what it was intended for and then some! I use it for cooking, when I have a sauce on the stove that has to be stirred every 5 minutes while I am preparing other ingredients. Yesterday found a new use: needed a box of tissues in the car but kept forgetting about it as soon as I got home. While in the car I set the app to remind me once an hour. It went off once while I was still driving, but then again after I was home. Now there are tissues in the car...

Gave it four stars as it does what it says on the tin with no fuss or unnecessary frills. Add 'Time remaining to next notification' (as I use it for awkward repeat times of 20 hours or so and being able to check how much time to next repeat notification would be invaluable) and I would happily give it the extra star. Plus I would be more than happy to pay for the app if a time left to go was added.
