GetBlue Bluetooth Reader, Demo for Android
What costs more? A ps2 barcode scanner you can get online for 20 bucks or this app that costs 25 bucks, is a pain to connect via bluetooth, and a pain to scan using a phone camera. Just saying.
App is great. The only thing that I am struggling with is when I try to connect a reader device using Bluetooth connection. It does not work properly. Device works fine when I am using it not through the app. Trying to reach support.
Great product and service.
Good app, but is it possibel to scan more than one bar code for one box. I would like to put in excel first cell: box number, than serial number than quantity and maybe more for one box. And than in new row new box. (Product1: cell A1,B1,C1,D1); Product2: cell A2,B2,C2,D2). Perhaps direct editing in Google sheet android app where to put code?
Between this and netcat I can easily set up a sniffer for packet traffic. Very fun
Got it
Loooks great. I will try to use its full capabilities.
GOOD APP I CAN HACK PASSWORD
good app. works well
I really appriciate it..
Great little app, and the dev support is fantastic and quick.
Works great on 2.1 (nexus one) This program is perfect for testing Bluetooth SPP devices.
Does it work on htc hero with 1.5 android?
It may be a great app, but it seems unusable for testing and monitoring, because of demo imposed limitations. it does capture some data, but it will capture data for 1 second and immediately pop the "This is a DEMO VERSION" and therefore effectively preventing you from using it for longer than 1 second. if you want to buy the full app just to see if it meets your needs - go ahead.
Force closes before opening Motorola Cliq.
I get an error .. Data Source not available (Error While opening the socket caused by Service Discovery Failed..) ! What could be the reason for this ...
Force Close on MB200. Need updates!
So many features but unable to test any due to payment reminders can you let me see what this program is? no? so i won't buy anything

I've only used the app for about an hour now...and so far I am impressed. I develop microcontrollers and I am working with people who make apps, and this app seems to fill the gap between what I am doing and what they are doing so we can focus on our ends for development. I am really impressed by the execution of the Google spreadsheet integration. You can watch the update in real time. Just one problem, I wasn't sending much data and after a few minutes, I already had 41 datapoints in buffer, then when you stop, you lose those values. First, why is that so slow? I'm only sending 2 bytes per second, and second, the buffer should clear to the spreadsheet after I stop. Good work!
Love it. Please update with wifi connection.
Really useful app!
Price for registered version is too high, especially when you need to buy a capturing program for 90-150€ to use it. Reduce the cost for both! EDIT: I have tried the demo, and everytime I try to start I'm having difficulties connecting the application to the computer. It is not acceptable to have to spend 15+ minutes before the connection is established.
I set up a demo application, using one GetBlue app on a cellphone (HTC Sensation), reading from BTserial source in client mode, and serving on port 8080 to a second GetBlue app on a tablet (Kindle Fire with CyanogenMod 10.1.3), also in client mode. Both set to non-raw, with CRLF termination. The BT data source (3rd item, a Parallax Prop with BT module) was set to send a 'line' of data once a second. About 4 times a minute GetBlue Demo injects a "please register" line, substituted for an actual data packet (data loss, but I assume this is by design and likely covered in the manual). The problem I have is the 2nd GetBlue client (Kindle Fire) is showing an occasional packet split into 2 pieces, and the 2nd portion is 'shown' (aka delivered) after the next transmission from 1st GetBlue client/server (HTC Sensation). The data on the 1st GetBlue is intact. These failures are not coincidental with the injected "please register" substitutions. All of the failure instances (so far) exhibit with the 2nd portion is the last 8 characters (6 'visible' ascii text, followed by CRLF) of the original line, and the first portion is all of the characters up to but not including the last 8.
Used it to test BT communication with an Arduino UNO. Worked perfectly, and was a HUGE help in testing.
This app is great
Defective
Very good app just what I wanted ...Cheers 5* would have been 6 if they had it
Once properly configured (and this can take some time) this app can be a powerful tool to allow your phone or tablet to interface with just about any type of bluetooth data collection device. The ability to write custom rules for each program you work with makes the keyboard wedge one of the best I've used for data collection. One rule for interfacing with chrome browser for my inventory tracking and another for interfacing with a spreadsheet for point of service customer requests makes working with scanners fast and easy. TEC-IT is quick to respond to e-mail despite their location in another time zone. I purchased 4 copies of the full version after trying out almost every other similar type app I could find.
Blueterm is free and does the same.
Great for testing
@raauu - please submit bugs to the publisher TEC-IT. This app is actively supported via email/msn/phone. Thanks!
Crashes in HTC magic when launched
Great apps for dev. Im use it 4 robotic proj, if this apps hav a page wit buttons tat I can bind my commands & send it on click, that willb perfect!
sounds great. but does not work
Great utility app. On Captivate w/2.1 and RN41 module.
Which output type is for outputting to other apps? Also, is 1.6 support a possibility?
Works perfect for reading serial data sent from a bluetooth module (RN-41). Very helpful app for me.
Works well with barcode camera app
