What was wrong with the old app? NOTHING! This app is terrible. Not even worth one star since there is no place to view notifications/videos. I also liked the "home" feature which point the camera back to a pre- defined setting. This app is a step back....waaaaay back.

Was forced to down load this app to continue to use my cameras after most recent firm ware update. This app is not worth the time to load. Stick with original version of smart cam, have used samsung smart cam for over two years.

Just got my new pan and tilt camera downloaded the app and the app is absolutely useless. There's no menu to do anything. There's no way to control the camera, to view if anything is being recorded. The app is so bad I guess I'm going to have to return the cameras that I just purchased. Totally disappointed.

SOUND NOTIFICATION IS A MUST . You can't have a functional security cam if you're not getting SOUND ALERTS WHEN MOTION IS DETECTED, how dumb is that! Old one worked just fine. Very buggy laggy slower newer version , Samsung keeps disappointing me , I'll return the camera back unless the app is fixed and updated like YESTERDAY !

I loved the old app. I was just forced to update the app even though the reviews were bad. Now I cannot use my password and it will not let me re-register to put in a new password. I am locked out!

This update is the worst. Can longer receive sound notification and this is a must have. I called Tech Support and was told no one ever complained about that. Fix this app. It stinks! The original was much better.

Saw many bad reviews. But after I was forced to install it, I found it was ok. I am using Samsung J5 and all the features from the older app are working. The pre-set camera position is also working. I didn't use notification, so can't comment on that.

I DO NOT LIKE THIS APP!! .. I was FORCED to upgrade to this app and one of the things this app does not have is the preset zoned areas. With the other (original app), I could quickly scan and view my preset areas. The other annoyance of THIS app is you have to put your password in everytime you want to use it. I understand the added security of that function, should your phone gets lost, anyone could scan your home; however, your phone should already have a password lock on it, preventing that from happening. Please fix these options or allow users to go back to the original app!!

I can't get a notification sound no matter what I do. I'm using both Android 7.0 and an Apple iPad. Fix notifications sounds. The speaker on the camera is so small and weak that nobody can hear me talk unless they are standing within a few feet in total silence. i have it mounted by my front door and there is no way anyone would hear me. Fix notifications sound. I'm not always staring at my phone to see if the notification pops up. Fix the camera (Costco Ver) speaker.

This new update is terrible , it wont let me see the notifications and it ask for my password and i only can put 8 or the 10 letters for my password, so i can't used at all !!! it really sucks , fix it guys or go back to the old one !!!!

After I updated and downloaded the new app playback is horrible it's very choppy but I like the way the app is set up. After all of these bad reviews you think the company would do something about it over a new update fix it or I will find a new one to control these cameras. Very disappointed.

I need the vibration alerts back. The only alert I get is my phone screen lighting up which doesn't help if I'm asleep or not looking at my phone.

Im having a very hard time adding cameras .... it keeps saying to check my wi-fi ... but thats working fine.... i also wish the old App was left alone

The older "blue" version works fine, this version is buggy, won't recognize my cameras half the time. FIX IT!

I am unable to log on as the system only allows for a PW that is min 10 characters, it only allows for 8 at entry.

Got locked out of my cameras. I will be returning them to Sam's Club for a refund

Crap, Crap, Crap. I called support at Samsung and the supervising imbecile tells me that notifications don't work because that's not important. Why would you buy a security camera that doesn't make an alarm and he said duuuuhhhhh, du camera works.

I still HATE this app. Go back to the old one or I will throw the camera away and get something I can use!!!!!! Used to think it was great!!!!!!

Can't find my recorded videos. The other app was so much better. Thinking about returning it to the store

Forced to upgrade to this, cannot set it to give phone notifications, cannot view events through the app.

Just bought this cam and the set up stinks. Tried twice and was unsuccessful.

Why do I have to enter my password EVERY time I use this app ..... otherwise this app does everything else the other one did .... just looks different ....

good user interface and appropriate design. A lottle bit slow but still good camera overall.

I love my Samsung SmartCam and the "blue" SmartCam app. So I bought a second camera at Costco (V6431BN). While the old "blue" SmartCam app sees my new camera, it REQUIRES that camera to use this app. OK, irritating, but I guess... This new app does pretty much all of what the "blue" app does, and sees my old camera, but WILL NOT GIVE AN AUDIBLE OR VIBRATION ALERT! Only a screen pop-up, which is USELESS! Those settings were conveniently controlled within the "blue" app, but this app only allows user to turn alerts on or off. If this is not fixed within the next few days, I will have no choice but to return the camera.
