App is good pop ups are a little annoying but it is free so can't complain the biggest issue is massive use of background data I check the app once a day but it has munched through over 1gb of BACKGROUND data in two weeks! Not sure why this is happening but on a restrictive data plan it's not good - developer please respond!

I thought it was a good app but seems to have eaten through over a gb of data in the last month! Possibly just a misconfiguration in settings but now uninstalled for its troubles...

Used to love this app, up to date relevant tech news; then suddenly in the last 1/2 month has eaten 2GB of data, today alone has eaten 700Mb!

This used to be a really good app. But as others have said it is very data hungry and the intrusive advertising makes it almost unusable. Uninstalled.

Suck away 2G of 3G Data Plan in 2 weeks. Dont know what is running in background. Other news Apps use less than 100MB. Uninstalled.

Much better now problems have been fixed by developer. Nice one.

I used to read newspapers for my news now I use this instead.

The app only offers tiny news headers, you still need to go to the website to read the whole article. The main point of using an app is to avoid opening Techradar's cluttered website. The app developer completely missed the point of making apps.

These ads are rediculous, I understand a lot of free apps need ads, but these guys have taken it a step further. The ads are so annoying I'm not even using the app anymore

I hope the recent updates are just bugs.. if not then the apps ruined and unusable. Full screen ads appear every 30 seconds or so to install uber (which I had installed anyway).. and the other ads are far too frequent. Would prefer to pay for app. I understand ads are needed to fund things but not at the expense of making it too annoying to use.. please reconsider this if it's by design as have always been a big fan. Thanks

This used to be a great app. I used it ever day for two years as a bit of a geek who loves to keep up to date with all things tech. Now the news has stopped updating and the app pops up to Google play store asking me to download an app for Uber every time I try to sync the news. Am uninstalling. Please roll back to it's previous version.

I understand that adds pay for the service but the techradar app now has so many adds you can't go for more than a few seconds without the screen switching to an add. Even though techradar content is very good I will no longer use it because of the adds

This app used to work as described. Now to update you have to clear app data and after the first update it no longer works. Additionally Google play pop ups randomly happen, mostly to download uber. Ironically this led to me uninstalling uber to see if it would make a difference..

Adverts pop up and block out usage of this App every few seconds. Makes it impossible to use at all. I've given up with this App - my advice is use Google Play Newsstand or BBC News...That's what I have turned to after many years of using TechRadar. What a shame.

Used app for several years and loved it... like other reviews, it no longer does any story updates!!! Now its a useless app!

Really good content but needs a categorisation of the different types of news (i. e. Apple, Android, VR, etc) so you can chose what you're interested in. Plus a log in function to be able to keep the favourites if you reset device or change phone. I lost all mine and there were few I really wanted to keep...

Was a great app but now there's full screen popups every few seconds. Idiot developer.

Used to be good but us full of pop ups and is not updated so much these days.

To be sent to the app store and be asked to download and install Uber every time I try and use this app is an absolute joke. Uninstalling and will stick with Engadget.

Great app. Must work really hard to keep us updated with news. Did prefer older format but still brilliant.
