Grapevine Outliner for Android
Too many popup ads interfering with work flow.
Buggy mess. Keep losing my content.
Crashes frequently. When moving an item, often copies/overwrites with nearby item. After much trial - months - useless.
Nice design, shame it forgets your data
Good UI. Easy to add, promote, demote items. Filtering is a good start, but needs date ranges and ability to combine criteria with "and" and "or."

I use both android and apple phones and need to use csv files, but the cvs file that grapevine uses is not compatible with any app that can import csv files in android or apple.
I use this app to keep track of various lists and errands on my phone to be able to carry less when on the go. It's easy to manage and have found it very helpful.
Finally! A single pane outliner that lets you move elements around by tap-and-drag.
This clean, portable app is perfect for on-the-go writing and thinking. I like the ability to email a branch. Elegant and intuitive, it would benefit from an undo function. (P.S. Missed the undo in the menu. Thanks!)
I like the fact that you can filter by priority level and even by completion as well as create many complex filters according to the user's need. A bit glitchy- the filter seems off at times (but it could be me that's a bit off) and I have lost an item although I noticed it right away so it didn't cause an issue. Did purchase the pro even though I rarely buy if i can avoid it.
I am a writer, and persistently frustrated by my need to organize and reorganize my thoughts, plots, plans, and arguments. I need an app that will help me structure and restructure, on the go, the piece I am contemplating. I need it to be intuitive, flexible, and fast. I need to be able to use it without thinking about how to use it, so my thoughts are not interrupted. I am hopeful that this is it. I'll be back to let you know.
Grapevine is the best single pane outliner for Android. Its inline notes and on-screen editing are better than Android Outliner's. It promotes and demotes lines easily, though moving lines up and down the outline takes a couple of steps. The recent update now gives users the ability to export as text via email in any of several common outline formats. This makes it much more useful as a writing tool. The developers are incredibly responsive. Well done and thank you!
Grapevine is a fantastic, powerful, yet simple tool to organize data in a way that makes sense. It can be used for simple checklists or powerful hierarchical lists as needed. I found the interface's drag and drop to be intuitive, and was delighted to find that a long-click provided even more capabilities. TSI provides world-class tech support too!
Within an hour of usage, the app crashed, lost edits to my outline, revealed keyboard glitches, and lacked a Help function (nothing happened when I selected it from the menu). I have banished it from my Nexus 7.
As it stands, Grapevine is quite a good single pane outliner. Its inline notes and on-screen editing are better than Android Outliner's. It promotes and demotes lines easily, though moving lines up and down the outline takes a couple of steps. My main concern is that Grapevine is too structured like a ToDo app rather than a writing tool. I'd suggest allowing a user to export (or import) plain text files without all the .CSV fields would make it much more friendly as a writing tool.

Finally! A single pane outliner that lets you move elements around by tap-and-drag. I initially had trouble with entries disapearing, but it turned out the problem was with me not understanding the swipe commands or the recovery feature, and had nothing to do with Grapevine. Now I use grapevine all the time and have deleted my other outliner.
