كاظم الساهر (12 سبتمبر 1957 -)، مغنٍ و ملحن عراقي يحمل الجنسيتين الكندية و القطرية، هو كاظم جبار إبراهيم السامرائي ، ولد في الموصل في العراق، يعرف عنه بأنه لحن جميع أغانيه بنفسه حتى الآن باستثناء بعض الأغاني القليلة التي استعان فيها بملحنين آخرين. له ألقاب عديدة أهمها " سفير الأغنية العراقية " و" قيصر الأغنية العربية " الذي منحه إياه الشاعر السوري الراحل نزار قباني.
له ولدان (وسام وعمر)، وسام من مواليد 1981 وعمر من مواليد 1987 و حفيدتان سنا من مواليد 2011 وآية من مواليد 2014 من ابنه وسام، تربى كاظم في بيت صغير جداً وسط عائلة تتألف من 7 اخوان هم(عباس وحسن وحسين وعلي ومحمد وسالم وإبراهيم) وأختين(أميرة وفاطمة)، في صغره انتقلت العائلة من مدينة الموصل إلى منطقة الحرية في بغداد بحكم عمل أبيه. عاش الساهر محن كثيرة بسبب فقره حسب قوله كانت دافعا له وكانت أساس شخصيته الصلبة التي يتميز بها، اكتشف عنده البوادر الفنية عندما كان عمره 12 عاما حيث كان جالسا مع اخيه حسن في السيارة وهما يستمعان لمحمد عبد الوهاب، وكونه تربى في عائله فقيرة كان يعتمد على نفسه فكان يعمل في عطلاته يبيع المثلجات (حيث بقيت في الشمس طيلة اليوم، فذابت المثلجات ولم يبع منها شيئا)والكتب، وعمل في أحد المصانع للنسيج إلى أن جمع ثمن أول آلة موسيقية (القيثارة) وكان ثمنها 12 دينارا، ومن بعدها تعلم العزف على آلة الجيتار ومن ثم العود. درس الموسيقى 6 سنوات في معهد الدراسات الموسيقية ببغداد، ولحن أول أغنية له بعنوان (أين أنت) بعد سنة فقط من دخوله المعهد، عمل أستاذ لمادة التاريخ، ودرًس الموسيقى للتلاميذ لمدة سنة ونصف.عين معلما لمادة الفن والموسيقى في مدرسة (كربيش)ومدرسة(بيناتا) إحدى القرى التابعة لقضاء عقرة في شمال العراق أواخر سبعينيات القرن الماضي، يحمل بالإضافة لجنسيتة العراقية كلا من الجنسيتين الكندية والقطرية.
