**** VIDEO MODE ****
*** Please note that VIDEO MODE is still under testing and does not work on all devices/firmwares ***

- Video / expert video mode (HD video greater than 720x480p is in Beta and works only on some phone models)

Expert video mode (excerpt)
- Automatic bypassing of recording time respectively file size limit by means of file splitting (short gap possible between files)
- Disable audio recording
- Adjust audio channels, sampling rate, audio/video bitrates, frame rates, audio/video codecs, video container format, video dimensions*
- Supports 1080p video recording (e.g. Galaxy S2 GT9100)*

IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS
- For video resolutions greater than 720x480 set focus mode to "Continuous" if available. Else recording might start delayed (app looks as if it hangs for some seconds on the Samsung Galaxy S2)
- Zooming and picture controls can only be modified BEFORE video recording
- Changing from continuous autofocus to some other focus mode can be very slow
- Sometimes the direct HD video preview in the video player (started from CameraPro) shows only a black screen. When the player is started manually the video play back is fine.
- If updating from CameraX fails, uninstall CameraX before installing CameraPro.
- Video recording on some HTC devices and on all devices with Android 2.2 and older is only partly supported

I bought this app. Since I upgraded to Sony z5 compact it no longer works properly. When press shutter there's a long, long pause then it takes a blurry picture even in good light. The built in camera app works instantly and with great results. I tried removing and reinstalling but no joy.

I am using Sony Xperia SP with cynogenmod based Android lollipop ROM. I am able to use other camera apps like Google camera and they are working fine, but CameraPro. It crashes before it starts.

After using the same app on a Windows phone for some time this Android version is quite disappointing. As I tend to spend quite a lot of time doing amateur time-lapse videos manual exposure and ISO controls are critical to what I'm trying to do, these are present and correct on the Windows version but nowhere to be found on this version... maybe it's just my phone that's at fault? If this situation somehow changes in the future then I may be back, otherwise it seems I'll have to look elsewhere for an appropriate app for my purposes (or go back to the Windows phone). It seems that manual exposure isn't even possible on 4.4, maybe something for a Lollipop update? ;)

the image image control used to have 4 settings on the HTC Incredible S but leaving only exposure compensation on note2. the new version has the video setting but only for low resolution video shoots. but its an upgrade compared to the V.3.0 i got from the developer cus i bout it previously but at one time i wasn't available on play store. So this is my 2nd purchase cus i hope it can be updated each time there is a new update on the apps. Keep it up. looking for more improvements

This is weird on my galaxy s4. Sometimes the app opens normally, sometimes it somehow switches to stock camera app. Sometimes when I open stock camera this one opens too. Please fix as I need the onscreen exposure lock that this app offers.

Hello Harald & Team, The problem I had been experiencing with recording video got resolved recently (I am not sure if this was something to do with the updated apk, however, I observed that it got resolved automatically after inserting the headphones plug to the 3.5 mm jack on my phone. Now, it records video with or without the headphones :) But still wished the camera had option to control focus manually like in Nokia Lumia 1020 series (focus dial in video record mode) and also wished I could record in a flat profile (any suggestions?) Cheers!

I've used this app years ago on my Nokia N8 and it made the already excellent camera even more fantastic. Now running this on my Samsung S4 it's leaps ahead of many other camera replacement apps currently available for Android.

Having tried several dozens of camera apps, free and paid ones, I am left with some favorites (Vignette, in example), but this is the one I most frequently fall back to using these days. On LG P880, the stock camera is pretty good but lacks support for actually remembering settings like ISO, White Balance, ... on closing, so I was looking for another "day-to-day" camera. Here, CameraPro just perfectly fits in: Reasonably small / fast, good feature set, good configuration options (including UI / icon colors), _very_ straightforward UI that allows for immediately reaching virtually every feature you might need, good image quality, a very good written (PDF) documentation and a very friendly support. Recommended.
