The GOLD® Documentation is a free app created exclusively for teachers using the GOLD® assessment system. It enables teachers to easily capture documentation in the moment using their favorite mobile device. This user-friendly app is free for all GOLD® users and can save teachers valuable time in the classroom.
With the GOLD® Documentation app, teachers can
• capture photos, videos, audio clips, and text notes;
• tag documentation with objectives, dimensions, and children’s names;
• assign preliminary levels for each piece of documentation; and
• upload documentation to GOLD® online with one touch.
Assess with confidence. Use your iPhone®, iPad®, or iPod touch® to capture photos, videos, audio clips and text notes. Tag documentation and assign preliminary levels. Use a wireless or cellular connection to send data directly to GOLD®. Then log in to the GOLD® Web site to individualize and review documentation and share information with families.
Security/Confidentiality
To maintain security and confidentiality, all documentation captured within the app remains in the app until it’s uploaded to GOLD®. Any photos, videos, or audio files taken within the app will not mix with your personal camera roll. Files captured using the app cannot be sent anywhere other than to GOLD®. Files captured using other apps cannot be transferred into the GOLD® Documentation app.
Who Can Use This App
This app is designed for use with the GOLD® online assessment system. Users must have a GOLD® account.
The app is for teacher use only. Family Central users will not be able to log into the app. At this time, some Team Central members may not be able to log into the app.

I like the simplicity of the app. Makes my data collection a lot easier. It's frustrating though that I have to be connected to WiFi or use my personal data to use the app. We have WiFi in the school building, but when we go outside I have to use my data to use it out of the WiFi area. Same thing with the iPad app. I should be able to at least open the app to take pictures, make notes, or record audio. Also, I notice the last 2 objectives ( English Language Acquisition) objectives are missing.

Great app but I have alot of issues with it. I have pictures that I try to upload and they completely disappear when uploaded to ts gold. It just leaves the students name, no picture and sometimes no description. It works fine on our tablet in the class. I also have it when uploading the documentation never uploads to ts gold, it just disappears. Taking it off my phone and gonna hand write all my notes.

It's very convenient. I like the quick access but it does lose documentations. If you don't upload your documents right away; there is s risk you will lose some. This has happened to me on a few occasions. If this problem can get fix; it would be a great app.

This app is not working at all since you updated last week. Leave things alone.Two days ago I was uploading it took forever when I went to see if they uploaded everything was completely gone. Fix it because it's documentation we need. You need to have a backup button where it saves everything you took on your phone so you don't lose information we need for our checkpoints.

It would be great if I was able to gather observations and actually upload them. They never upload then I need to uninstall and reinstall the app then I loose the observation. So it's pretty much useless in that respect.

This app only works half of the time. Almost every other time I go to log in, it says there is some sort of error and it does not allow me to log in. Not very useful when you miss a lot of activities because it won't log you in!

Will never use again. Online you can not copy and paste in documentation box . Small big helpful thing for entering documentation . Ask a early childhood professional that is currently WORKING IN A CLASSROOM to help you.

Take to much time to uploaded pictures. Some times duplicate the dimensions. Sometimes give the wrong color for child, actually I have 3 ClASSROOMS. How can be this. I'm parent educator home base.

I hate that it take so long to download the picture to the child portfolio. I got wifi and it take two or more days to upload pictures. Plus I lost some of my documents that I need for my children observations.

This is helpful in theory but if not working properly what's the point? Downloaded it last night upload a pic today at noon and guess what? It's still uploading!!! It is now 3:15!!!... I love the idea of this but until it's fixed, it's a no go!

My suggestion would be.... OK so after choosing your objectives dimensions you should have highlighted or only show which boxes you have left to cover for checkpoint so then after you've completed all the boxes you can quadruple the boxes of you want but all the boxes will be checked

I lost ALL of my work and you guys behind the app have NO answer. Unacceptable!!! This isn't an app we use to play games. We actually need this stuff it's important to us. After this month's entries disappearing on me I'm removing the app. I'd rather go back to writing my observations on paper or typing them on my own at least I know there is a backup somewhere. You guys are too smart for technical difficulties such as this!

Missing all of my documents that were just there. Never had this happen to me, however other co-workers have experienced this issues. Highly upset, this is an inconvenience, and I really liked the app. Please, please fix.

Last year i had about 50 documentations in my app on my phone. I opened it one day and everything had mysteriously disappeared. That makes me skeptical to use it again.
