Adobe Illustrator Artwork (AI) is a file format developed by Adobe Systems for representing single-page vector-based drawings in either the EPS or PDF formats. The .ai filename extension is used by Adobe Illustrator.
The AI file format was originally a native format called PGF. PDF compatibility is achieved by embedding a complete copy of the PGF data within the saved PDF format file. This format is not related to .pgf using the same name Progressive Graphics Format.

I wanted to open some adobe illustrator files for my project which was received from one of my clients. I don’t have Adobe Illustrator license, so I searched some apps to view the files. When I searched on Google play I found this handy app to view my clients’ files. This app loads very fast and I feel very comfortable with the big icons. The most important feature that helps me lot is free illustrator to PDF converter. This Converting works absolutely perfect. I tried several other apps before to convert files to PDF but most of them have some errors and output file was much different than the original one. Other than that we can also open PDF files using this speedy app. Zooming buttons and 1 click Email are some of the best features I saw in this app. Finally I would like to recommend this app for anyone who is searching for a perfect Illustrator viewer and converter.

Doesn't recognize EPS files, and when renamed to AI, it complains about damaged file format. This needs more testing and support for popular EPS sources like Shutterstock. Doesn't work for me.

Buy & use it on my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active android kit kad & working well. Now change my device to Samsung Galaxy Note 4 android lolipop. Device not compatible. Very dissappointed.
