WireTap Riff Recorder

I have a lot of 0 length recording on my wiretap. When I try to delete them from the pedal nothing happens. The app in general could be a little smoother. When I go to record something I am never totally confident that it will work like it's supposed to. The app freezes from time to time and crashes quite frequently.

Right now, it's too buggy and too laggy to be used efficiently on my device (samsung A3 2016) but I'm confident in next updates. Plus, if a loop playing option could be add, it will become the perfect creativity tool for me.

Had this app on my old phone- it worked great. All I get on my new Umi Max is a very loud hissing and crackling noise. Totally unusable

The severe pairing issues prevent this pedal from being any more usable than it is. The first time I ever ran the app, it connected just fine. Second time on? Nothing on the pairing screen. Pedal is sitting there blinking, nothing happens.

TO TC ELECTRONIC : PLZ READ I am a huge fan,love the innovation without compromising tone which is why I own 8 tc products I had little issues with sinking and songs freezing in the middle of downloading as well as songs showing up that are completely blank with zero seconds of music. However now the actual pedal is sending muffled sounds to my amplifier I cannot possibly hear the music that I just recorded through my amplifier nor will it via Bluetooth. TC I have such important arrangements on the pedal, which is heartbreaking (I was proud and worked hard on the music )additionally usb won't save the tracks I have currently on the WireTap to even check if it will be audible. This happened out of nowhere. I was listening to a track, turned to the next track and that was the last time any audible came out of the pedal. Please advise Jonathan

Awesome app. I love how you can use it stand alone without the wiretap pedal. My only criticism is that, despite the tags being very helpful in categorizing my ideas, there should be a feature to add your own custom tags. Still a great app

Junk. 1st of all, this app keeps adding blank titles THAT I CAN'T REMOVE and am now stuck strolling through endless blanks for my recordings. Waste of time. 2nd, after it adds a new blank title that I can't remove, the pedal shuts down and the app crashes. Waste of time. 3rd, there are no updates for the pedal, which is very frustrating, and I feel Behringer/TC has ripped me off $130 Hard worked dollars. Don't forget folks this ain't TC Electronic anymore, it's Behringer, and Behringer = GARBAGE IN, GARBAGE OUT!!! Don't buy this piece of crap pedal therefore you won't have to deal with this piece of crap app, FIND A BETTER WAY TO RECORD YOUR INSPIRATION

Needs work.... Crashes when trying to playback recordings

Haven't heard any problem with it. Record ideas to save for later or share with the band. Simple as that.

please add an option to email several recordings together instead of one by one, also add an option to create folders, thx

Fairly useless app. Nice concept . Horrible interface.

How do I delete the unwanted recordings ? How do I rename files ? Of there is a way it's definitely not clear with the UI

The only thing the app does consistently is say "Unfortunately Wiretap has stopped." I upgraded the pedal firmware, and it got somewhat worse. I deleted the app from my Samsung Galaxy S5 (on android v6) and reinstalled. No manual on their website and I don't have it with me. Maybe iPhone version works but I see other users are struggling with the Android ver. Same problem on my wife's new Galaxy Edge. Many comments here from support but the person I spoke in support has never heard of any issues. ??

As with all TC products this is truly innovative. Don't have the pedal yet, but it will be imperative to get one now. App works great and sure beats using the minidisc, or using the ditto pedal 4 for small recordings

App works great except for trimmed files which can't be shared for some reason. Trying to share/upload a trimmed file results in only the first split second of audio being shared.

Follow-up - TC Electronic did get back with a suggestion for a workaround, as well as an update to the app and a firmware update for the pedal. App opens just fine (no more pesky crashing), pedal pairs with the phone, I'm able to sync the riffs from the pedal to the phone and control the pedal playback with the app. Great app and paired with the pedal, a great tool kit. Thanks to TC support - Great job! .....now if you would only fix the super-sluggish tone print app..... Original post - TC makes great pedals. But their apps are lacking basics - such as beta testing and functionality. Crashes on launch. Nexus 6, marshmallow. Followup -

Just downloaded and tested the app with a 3-minute jam. Quality is good, app is responsive, and has trimming and tagging, which is good. But it's quite basic, and by that I mean QUITE basic. Wanna make this an excellent app? How about throwing automatic riff-tagging so we can have a proper recording library? And by that I mean tagging by year and month so we have everything organized. Hell, give us the option to choose how we want it. It's already better than the TonePrint, so let's make it shine, TC.

Does not crash everytime after the update. But worse: the app freezes my phone on every second start. I had to restart my phone hard to recover. I am using OnePlusOne cm13 snapshot.

A-ha! no not the 80's pop band lol. The app now works and is a jolly good app too. may have been a tad overzealous calling it crap in the first version of this review. So I shall just take a minute to say sorry to all in TC HQ sorry guys keep up the good work p.s. mojo mojo and dark matter rock ;)

I've been waiting very impatiently for this wicked awesome app to come out for this ridiculously radical pedal I picked up last week. I have riffs recorded and no way to edit or share! Please fix!

Once this app is fixed I'm sure I'll love it but at the moment the app crashes whenever I try to open it.

Crashed as soon as i tried it out. I wonder if this being on here is an error. I thought I read that the android app wouldn't be available until mid to late July.

Crashes on startup, moto pure edition
