I am receiving HRA, but don't know about its exemtion amount. I always worried about my tax exemtions available but couldn't be availed du to lack of knowledge, now this mobile app will allow me to calculate the tax exemtion available on account of HRA, transport allowance etc. Thanks Mr. Jaitly

Very simple application for all the income tax concerns. A good initiative of income tax department . I just like the hand holding done by the department for basic processes like application for pan etc. Live chat agents are really helpful and will definitely help in resolving the tax queries as and when required

Single window for all the my tax related concerns, whether tax payment, pan, tan, tds return filling and so on.I can now ask my any query on ASK IT. earlier I use to be confused that where to go for resolving my queries, like Tdscpc, efilling, nsdl. But now it is so amazing to have solution at single window..

Govt. Department initiatives are increasing day by day. Another milestone of govt. Gst, income tax everything is now on mobile. Now I don't need to open my laptop for calculate my taxes. No need to pay hefty amount to professional for tax calculations, very good effort of the govt.

The facilities offered by the app are unique & helpful specially for the tax-payers like me.I have benefited from the ASK IT & the TRP locators .I have found the facility of filing income tax online very helpful and it has made the experience of filing tax easy and comfortable.I hope department extends more facilities like this to the taxpayers,compliments to the finance ministry for this initiative .

Please liberalise the pan card aplay process.it's been authenticated problem with Aadhar I think 70 percent of people having details wrong in Aadhar

As our govt confusing Nd tangled laws the UI is also so pathetic and a common man, who really wanna pay tax will get confused with interface.

Taxation system of India is very good. But every service seems to be scattered. Like for e.g. for e filing one need to go to one website for TDs there is another website for pan there is another website. I must say that it is a very good moov of govt. to provide all the facilities under one platform that too from mobile. It is a really helpful app that facilitates use of all the services I.e. pan, tan, tax payment etc. What else is required. Moreover the functions of live chat, ask it added values and are really helpful. Now we can calculate taxes also on the go. Thank you Mr. FM for thinking of taxpayers continuously.

Tax tools are really helpful. I use to be always worried about that how much TDS will my employer deduct?. How much Income tax do I need to pay? Whether my HRA is taxable or not? Finally got solution of all the queries that too from Income tax department tool. That's great now I can calculate tax on my own without going to a tax professional. Also instead of going to a professional and spend my hard earned money now I can locate the nearest TRP on the go.

Great initiative taken by CBDT as they did in past. In last one decade CBDT only works for simplicity and convinces towards taxpayer services. And the app purely helpful for common and layman taxpayers like me, where we can easily solves our queries through Live chat, ask it and various tax calculators. The Rent free accommodation and advance tax calculators are really really helpful to the common people. Tax Payment is also good features through which one can directly pay taxes. Over all its helpful towards common taxpayers al lot.

In this App the apply for PAN is great features, through which one person can apply PAN and check the application status easily. The best feature in this app is Live Chat. Although It’s a limited time assistance but the Tax Experts are really helpful on various aspects and their responses are also quick. Another thing is ‘ASK IT’ – I think this is the first time in India; an automatic Chat Boot is launched. It is artificial intelligence is good, if anyone required ant assistance related to Income Tax then ‘ASK IT’ is the best options. The beauty of this is its works round the clock. The overall initiative taken by CBDT is great and I think this is the first mobile app launched by CBDT. Kudos to CBDT and the initiative towards better services to Taxpayers it’s a good move.

As a youth who's just graduated and will begin his business and wants to make it easier to pay taxes, I am happy with this step to make the app. No app is great right at inception so I'll keep this downloaded and wait for updates. Till then I'll study all I can so that at least I am well informed on when and how to pay taxes. TDS and advance tax are all new things for me right now. Hope the chat features and information guide us well here. Its important that the youth in the country are well informed about how to pay taxes because we don't want to hide any money, we just want to be well informed, avoid all hassles and just pay all the taxes in the right way to help the country. So thanks to the government of India for all these great initiatives. Demonization, GST and now the tech based information systems. Thanks for making life easier and better for us all.

It is good start from it department. Right now only basic information is present but I guess in near future more enhancement can be added easily. Right now app just forwarded to particular link but it should be directly clubbed within app. Expecting more features soon in this apps.

Why don't CBDT takes mobile platform seriously? There are lot of Non-government entities making great apps. This app seriously needs lots of work!

Really good app, very good utilities. I just like the app for the services offered, PAN, TAN, tax payment every service on my fingertip. If problem i can get it confirmed from tax expert anytime. Now i know how can i check my 26AS. Need not to go to a profeasional for same. I can locate my nearby TRP, i will definitely use this service, to file the return this year. Now i can submit my grievance on the go. Ache din aa gaye. Thanks modi sarkaar.. Deserve 5 star app. People who are giving 1 star seems not knows the actual utility of the app

Useless app! It keeps directing to webpages of all sorts. And while it is supposed to make filing of returns easy, all it does it that it confuses you all the more. Having some to do it for you is still cheaper and easier I'd say!

This is a huge leap towards something greater. 5 Stars, great things have small beginnings. The app needs improvements, but no app is perfect at inception. Best luck.
