Fast Notepad

This is the best Notepad application I every used. No built-in ads no restrictions just type of way and Save. The only Improvement I could see in the future would be allowing it to be saved on multiple devices. In other words creating a text on your phone then being able to bring up that same text your tablet or PC.

I found it!!! Main storage/fastnote. Great stuff. Amazing. And it reads folders created in the fastnote folder: tap the settings icon to see all your folders on the left. No need to have all notes on your face all the time. Brilliant. I use FX app to copy my entire fastnote folder to my SD card from time to time, or email it to yourself.

This is the best notepad I found in the store. I was searching with following features and it got everything: - allow different folders and save notes in same hierarchy to sd card - search in all notes - share to messaging apps Please implement the following features to have best experience. - allow to give a title to the note and use it as the file name for saving - also show the title name in the listing of notes - also show the title name at top while editing -"share via" should share only the note without title. But mailing can use title as subject -allow to open any text files from file browser through this app - now edit button need to press and cursor will go to start or end. Instead, clicking at any point should move to edit mode and cursor should be at that point. - remember the last edited folder and open app next time to same folder - while dragging the left menu, it is not doing proper. Going to a full white bar. Please fix the bug. Please share to the right department.

Simple, intuitive, with few permissions and no Internet permission, and a dark theme, this is a great notes app, I wish I'd discovered it ages ago. Optionally notes can be kept on internal SD, so they can be backed up to anywhere, and synced to other devices. Syncing to Android, Windows etc works effortlessly with 'Syncthing'. Notes can be arranged into folders, and can be encrypted. With these additions I could dump my other notes apps: ▪Ability to create home screen shortcut to a specified note, ▪Checklists, ▪Working hyperlinks in notes. ▪Also useful would be an option to add a title to a note, which would also be the .txt filename, (sometimes the first line of a note is not descriptive). If the title was left blank, it could be automatically filled with date & time, or first line of the note (as a user option).

The app, basic as it is, is very useful and functional. I especially like the fact the saving location can be manually specified. I dislike the fact I can't double tap to edit a note. Since notes no longer open in edit mode, it just makes for an annoying problem. Everything else is wonderful and I love it.

I LOVE this app, its my favourite in the entire world butttt...my phone recognises the text files as junk for some reason and lost 4 years worth of notes. I have a Huawei Y550. There needs to be a back up option. Otherwise, flawless.

...but is it possible to lock this app? It's perfect for taking notes, and encrypting them, but if somebody wants to use my phone and clicks on this app's icon, they can see all my notes etc?

I've used it for 2 yrs and love it. Very straightforward and easy to use, but when my last phone dropped dead, there went all my notes! I've read most of these reviews and some say you can back them up to a card and some say you can't. ????? I sure hate to lose my notes when I have to get another phone.

No intrusive ads or complicated design; this app works just the way it should. I like the fact that it saves automatically, as well as the fact that you can make folders within the app to organize your notes. I've never had trouble with this app and I use it very often for making notes or writing stories. Kudos to the devs!

How do you even complain with this app? There's no ads, easy to use, its basic, and they don't even spam you to review it. Unlike other reviews, I've never had notes disappear on me. I honestly think they messed up something.

Best timesaver for quick copy & paste jobs. No longer need to open my entire (exhaustive) organizer app to search for this particular function when I'm pressed for time. *Completely* ad-free as well.

This app does what's expected of a notepad. A blank space, ability to type,edit and save text. However Please can a checklist ability be added to aid deleting multiple docs simultaneously. For me that's the only thing missing.

Guys you need 2 things a blue color headline and white background appearance AND a save button and then this thing is perfect. Its kinda unnerving NOT to have a save button and its kinda annoying to be stuck with the red ....? YES IT "DOES" NEED A SAVE BUTTON.

One of the greatest apps I have ever used. However there is one very irritating feature that prevented me from giving you five stars. Why does the document jump back to the top when caling up the keypad during editing? It's annoying and makes no sense.

Sep. 15. I stand corrected on the Aug. 21 comment. You can share a single file at a time to a Google drive account and then download txt files to your PC. Direct, bulk save to text would be preferable. Aug. 21 Moving files to a simple text backup is impossible. When phone dies all notes are lost. Program directory and data files are completely hidden from user in filing app. Otherwise excellent quick notepad. Would give highest rating these defects are fixed.

..on what is obviously the Best Note Application for Mobile Devices available on the Play Store. Works and looks great on phones and tablets. And a BIG Thank You for keeping it FREE for Everyone! ~ Still using your app. Backup works great. One little request please. Can you add swiping between notes in a folder?

Just exactly what one needs: TAKE NOTES. Copy/paste strings of text, and save it to the external SD card. No bloat and just as easy to share when you want to WITHOUT having some program broadcasting your ideas to the stratosphere. It opens jnstantly every time. Take that, Evernote!

I used to really like this app and I had made many notes using it without any problem but now updated to the new Marshmallow software I can't access my notes at all. If I uninstall I will lose everything too. Please fix and I will bring the rating back up. I had a lot of important passwords and other information there

The best note taking app available hands down. Unfortunately the manual storage location cannot be changed to an external SD-card. Fastnote files, though .txt in format, can't be transferred to or read by a computer. App shows great promise, but needs work. Forgive the 1 star rating, but without the ability to transfer saved notepad files to pc, the app loses it's main purpose for me personally. Will watch for updates. Thanks for providing such an outstanding app for free.

What more needs to be said? I will just say this, I've tried literally dozens of apps like this over many years. No other Ap in this category (never mind that it's free) offers better with the only exception being SimpleNote. Functionality, user interface, design, and NO ADS... WHAT MORE COULD YOU ASK FOR FREE? I've been using this app for about 4 years. When one phone died, all fastnotes were stored on my sd card, so no problem. Next phone died, apparently they were stored internally. All gone. Installed fastnote on new phone. No option to store notes on sd card, or I'm too dumb to figure it out. Either way, fail. Today, just now, all my notes have disappeared. Where did they go? A magical easter wonderland with bunnies, unicorns and rainbows? I own a small business. Notes are pretty important. Love, Will

The old Fast Notepad until 2015 was just fine with the storage exactly under mnt/sdcard/fastnote. Why have you made my note text files inaccessible by moving it to /data/data/com.taxaly.noteme.v2/files/fastnote and making invisible? When I try to move it via the Settings, it says "Error while moving storage"! Please fix this else I'm gonna have to keep searching for another editor which is exactly what FN used to be. I was loyal but am ready to ditch over this as it's my basic need 2 port text. Thanks.

I love this app for texting and saving important information. I gave it a 4-stars rating because it lacking a print option so you can print to a WIFI or Bluetooth physical 'Generic' text printer, like you can to a computer. It just needs a 'QuickPrint' button and file select in this app to print. Then I would give it a 5-star rating.

Fast notepad is exactly what i want but its only missing 1 feature and thats sync. What the fu** are we all going to do if we need to reset out phones or get new phones all our information will be gone forever when we redownload the app

This is a great app. Much the same as the previous one with a different icon. Simple. Txt files so easy to use on PC. Only problem is can't move to SD Card or change the storage to SD card. I tried typing in the path but it either crashes or just doesn't work.

Great looking app with a nice UX. However, main reason I installed was cos of the encryption option...doesn't work though. I've chosen auto encrypt, set my password, yet, every note I write can just be opened straight away? Pending 5 stars otherwise...

...but is it possible to lock this app? Is perfect for taking notes, and encrypting them, but if somebody wants to use my phone and clicks on this apps icon they can see all my notes etc?

Great lightweight ad-free app with some some minor flaws. I love the fact that it has an edit button to avoid messing up the text, but the issue is when you click on the edit button, the app scrolls back to the top of the text file. You can't save to an external drive. You can't use it to open other text files not store in the app folder. Lastly, no dropbox feature for easy backup.

I've lost countless of files because fast notepad no longer saves automatically, meaning to say that if I don't return to the home page of the fast notepad app, it doesn't save. Please get this fixed; Fast notepad was a great app, and it's only because of this that I continue to use it.

With no useless features. It does exactly what it should. User interface is on point. ... App could use backup of notes to some cloud service. ... On the other hand, it doesn't even have ads, so 5* well deserved. Bravo developer!

Disregard the previous comment, as I've changed my mind (what little is left). Once I took the time, and got over the color change, I'm glad no silly improvements were made to make great, less great. Still a great app. The best notepad on Play Store.

here are no frills and thrills. Just a simple way to jot down quick notes without having title, label, pick what kiiind of note you're taking, and all that other nonsense. If you're looking for complicated, this ain't the app for you.

Like too many others... I tried it. created a test note. seemed Ok. So I used it for a more serious note. lots of great content. When I looked for the icon... nowhere. not in the list of apps. anywhere. Saw it listed as an app I downloaded in app store. but I guess This is wishful. Not ready for prime time. thanks for the look. hope I can one day trust it. seems a good interface developer. solid code writer... maybe not.

Warning! Dangerous! This app is reckless! Be very careful using this app. If you uninstall, you just deleted all your data. Please please do yourself a favor manually copy and paste data to another directory. I wished there is a backup function build in. Crazy is what I would say. End of story.

1) Set storage from android to internal. 2) Restart device 3) Attempt to copy and paste entire folder to external storage - and it's a coin toss. It doesn't always back up all notes. Bizarre. Backups are critical and they need to work.

Tried around 10 apps like this, but this the best. Fast, no ads, saves in. Txt format.Discard without save too good.. Pls provide option to add title to text note and some security to login.

There is one thing missing in the app, the option to select multiple notes ay once to delete or move. Also an option to create a backup and restore from the same will be good. Thanks for making this app without ads and free.
