Such a poor app. Signed into the app, filled in my data, app says 'Hey, go online to finish,' so I do. Only to reenter All My Data again. This app is pointless and frustrating. This is the last time I bother with TaxAct.

Rejected my return multiple times... Now can not reopen to correct issues. Going to website only tells you to go to log back into the app.

Endless signin loop. Sign in > answer questions start > answer same questions > sign in > repeat. Infuriating. Mobile version of the website is the same. You get what you pay for, I guess

Went thru every step only to get to the end and it made me login and start over. Fix your worthless app

Wish I would have read the reviews.. I already started my taxes on my cell phone browser but decided to try the app to see my balance during the process. Then the app lead me to the website still.. and now I can't complete my taxes on my cell browser because I used the app

Garbage: This thing was supposed alert me to any mistakes, then i get an email some days later saying it was rejected because the name and ss number do not match the records. I go to correct my return, and its gone, and the app seems to think i want to start a new one. The captcha algorithm with the selecting of ambiguous images is just plain stupid. So now i have to file my return ALLLL OVER AGAIN and its now late. Who ever made this app deserves their hands broken.

Worked great until trying to sign on to do taxes for 2016. The screen capture thing to see if you're a bot won't let me get by. I've tried 40 times so far with no success. There has to be another way to prove I'm me.

The website and app kept making me reset my password. Also when I would answer the first question it would shut down my computer or phone everytime. It took more time trying to login and upload my w2 than it did to file my entire tax return on TurboTax.

I just downloaded the app and i can't even login-i've tried several different captcha's and all it says is that there was an error-please fix this problem!

Such a bad app. The photo only imported about half the info and all the dollar amounts were off by a penny? If you do anything else with your phone before you're finished (ie use your calculator app for a second) you'll have to login again, get another security code, do another captcha image, and THEN you'll find that all changes you'd made to the form were lost. Start over. If you're unsure how to fill out any part of the form you're on your own, there are no buttons for help, explanations, etc. ...Just so many things make this app amateurish and bad.

Very fast... But really need to double check closely when entering w2 by photo... There was at least one mistake on each w2... But still saved a ton of time

Refers you to their website. Can't use this app at all...

Since the update it doesn't work properly.

They need to specify in the description what you can/cannot use the app for. Based on the first few questions I kept being directed by the app to use the online version. The app will only work for a select amount of people based on what you are filing. It's great that the app works for some (good for them), but for the rest of us it is a waste of time.

This is beyond stupid. It makes me add a W-2 even though it's already in there. No way around it either. Fix this asap!

You can spend an hour inputting the information but when the time comes to submit it will not give you that option anywhere

App does not work ...click to open app it goes to load screen and that's it..no sign in screen at all.

Great app and easy to use!

I've used tax act since 2003 and have always been pleased with it. I just downloaded the app and can't get past the splash screen. If I can't get it work, I guess I'll uninstall it. I've waited for a reliable app from TaxAct for about five years. I suppose since filling is so cheap there isn't money to develop an app. I'll wait longer, but they gotta get with the program. They are losing to more expressive and harder to file services like Turbo Tax.

This year's version of the app is a big step down from last year's. The scan your W2 with your camera did not work for me. No state filing at this time. If you want to file your state return currently you have to go to the website and file. It gave me errors when trying to enter my direct deposit information and after it accepted it. I found that I will be getting a check sent to me instead. Next year I will be looking elsewhere. If you use Taxact you are probably better off using their website instead of this app. Spare yourself the agony.

This app is trash. All it does is refer you to the website. I've used Tax Act for the last three years and I've never had a problem with it until this year we're any selection I pick it refers me to the online website. Do yourself a favor do not download this app whatsoever. If anything I will be filing my taxes with a different company because like I said this app is trash.

It doesn't make sense to download the app if you have to go online any way. Why not just say take your business elsewhere??? I like older version I downloaded this app to iPhone and it garbage no matter how you use it. To save you time go to irs and file. Can't print previous year all these errors. Go back to older version!!!!

Logged in to check status of my refund which I prepared other TaxAct website and when I logged via the app, it said I hadn't filed yet and my refund was zero. App flat out does work. Deleted!!!

I tried turbo tax first, it wouldn't let me sign in, so I tried H&R block, it would not let me continue my form after the Healthcare question, no customer service either just an automated man talking. Was a little hesitant about this one but it was simple and fast no problems at all! Glad I did

Complete garbage. If you do get the app running don't use the take a photo feature to import your w2. Multiple errors, every time. Ended up inputting everything manually. Finally get the federal form submitted only to find out this thing won't let me submit a state return. Had to start over online and make sure it didn't submit a 2nd federal return form. Will not be able to check the status of my returns as both the app and online will not show me my total return ammount. Neat! I've been using taxact since 2004 and this has been the worste experience I've had with your product. Next year I will be filling elsewhere.
