Tata surya adalah kumpulan benda langit yang terdiri atas sebuah bintang yang disebut matahari dan semua objek yang mengelilinginya. Tata surya terletak didalam satu galaksi. Galaksi itu adalah galaksi Bismasakti ataupun yang disebut milkyway. Tata surya terdiri atas planet, satelit, komet asteroid dan meteorid.
