Bob the Trader

The TT Team and site is great from a educational standpoint, but the IRA Feed is worthless. You will see a trade such as "Sold Credit Spread on TLT" then it says 100% CLOSED. They do not even show the P&L!! NO Explanation for the Trade! So was that a trade that was closed out and opened months ago? What it a round trip trade? There is no history, no explanation of the trade. If you work and cannot be glued to their radio program, forget it. Also, go ahead and email support THEY NEVER RESPOND.

Can NOT understand how this app, or service, gets five stars. No context or P&L provided for any of their trades. And people are paying a premium for this? How gullible are you people?

Uninstalling...won't work after Samsung updated their software. Dev team hasn't fixed it in over a month. No point wasting my limited memory on the Galaxy S6 with a non functioning app.

App is a good idea. (I'm a huge fan of Tasty Trade.) Unfortunately - although it is supposed to - the app too often fails to send any notification signal when a new posting comes in. I find myself having to repeatedly check the app during the day, which kinda misses the point of it. On contacting Tasty Support on the issue, they offered no help (actually didn't really seem all that interested). I also have another member in my trading group, who's having the same problem. So I guess we'll have to wait for an upgrade. --- UPDATE --- Think I've found out why my Android devices aren't providing a notification when a new trade is posted in Bob the Trader. Go to: 1. Settings 2. Sound & Notifications 3. Scroll down to Application Notifications 4. Open Bob the Trader --- turn on "Set as priority" (Also - be sure that "Block" is turned off) I've also upgraded my rating (still not 5 until 'Bob improves his record'.)

There is no reason for any app to have access to my call history, caller id, dialing. This is a privacy threat, to give others, governments or corporations, access to personal and private details like call information. I give it three raspberries. /-p

Update-I now have to use Bob since tastytrade doesn't have audio feed. Bob sometimes doesn't shut down. Even though the program was stopped, it still runs. Also, if I stop audio, then start later, it picks up where shut down, not at the current point in the program. Now I can look over the shoulder of the Tasty Trade traders. I downloaded the app soon after release and went with the 7 day subscription. Over the week, I have found it provided most trades, but no reason for the trade. I had hoped to see something like 'sold to open vertical spread looking for 2 point drop' or something a little more than what is shown on the screen shot. I don't expect that will happen, but it would be nice to click on the trade to learn more.

I am very pleased with the Bob streaming feature. Both video and - more importantly to me while driving- audio only streaming is flawless. This is the go to app for streaming as long as the new version of the TT media app is stuck in bug fix mode of development.

Podcast goes in and out then starts from the beginning if you get disconnected. You have to pay for the subscription which is cheap enough but half the push notifications i never received and there are no instructions or direction for new users.

News you can use instantly. Watch or listen to free option trading strategies and subscribe to trade with the pros in real time as they trade real money. In a short time these folks have changed and improved financial media while making it fun.

Doesn't show all open positions and when established. Only shows trades of one particular day. Is this because with that info you could calculate his returns? Instead of paying many hundreds of dollars over months to mannually write down and track his trades and p/l.

Following Tom's trades at 4am can be described as an addiction. The new release (1.3.8) is the best yet. Live audio stream is a great addition to bob android. Is it possible to filter trades by user? i.e. Tom dough vs Tom ToS

Bob was updated a week or two ago now the screen on my android cuts off part of the ticker symbol it still works but it's irritating

Now I can look over the shoulder of the Tasty Trade traders. I downloaded the app soon after release and went with the 7 day subscription. First day-no trades showed up. Currently, it is only Tom that shows trades, so maybe he wasn't trading. I really think there was a problem with the app. Second day, started getting trades, but every trade was listed as a debit trade, open or close. That was fixed, but then the incoming trade notifications slowed to nearly nothing. Over the week, I have found it provided most trades, but no reason for the trade. I had hoped to see something like 'sold to open vertical spread looking for 2 point drop' or something a little more than what is shown on the screen shot. I don't expect that will happen, but it would be nice to click on the trade to learn more. My week subscription ends tomorrow. I will likely hold off on subscribing for a while until more tasty traders are feeding data to the app and a little more tweaking has been done on the app. Once that happens, I certainly see value to the app.
