IPA Phonetic Keyboard LITE for Android
I wished there was some programs for students so I could at least access enough to pronounce my name and what not...
Really good app. Thanks
Someone doesn't understand phonology or how poeple use keyboards
Shit+shit+shit. It isnt intuitive or anything!!!! There is no tutorial, because is complex and the software is bad.
No access to half the keyboard without buying the full version, including all voiced consonants. Terrible "lite" version; I have no idea of the functionality of the app and so won't be buying the full version.
The 'lite' version might as well just be a picture of the keyboard. Everyone was right, shareware. What a joke.
Great
Very difficult to use to keys
The font is way too small and it lacks nasal consonants. One misclick and it will tell you "go buy the complete app"
No voiced constants... Those cost extra...
I want to type phonetics symbols but I don't have keyboard .Thanks.
No problems yet
love it...
On top of agreeing totally with Michael April, I add that the Tuah Eiwa review looks like a troll: "Use this if u want to learn how to pronounce a word". It pronounces single phonems, not words (at least I coudn't find a way to pronounce a word). Free youtube and wikipedia are easier and better for me than this app. How can Tuah Eiwa review get the 3rd best rating? Aren't trolls also the ratings? Does this mean that this company uses trolls?
Agree with Sr Abril - shareware trial, not ANYthing ‘lite‘. If I could put it through its paces I would... Shame - neat idea, but I‘m blowed if I‘m spending the money to see whether it does anything useful.
The nearest to what I'm looking for. Keep the good work going :)
You can't actually use many of the most important IPA symbols unless you want to pay an ungodly amount of money. It's not lite. It's a "free trial" where you can only do a very small amount of transcription.
Love

I love. You isverya

This is less a lite version and more of a shareware trial. You can only access a small fraction of the IPA symbols. It's not the prettiest or the most intuitive program, but it does nag you to buy the full version, which is far too expensive. Instead of the limitations, they should make the program fully usable as a text editor but not as a keyboard. Thus those who want the keyboard would buy it, and those who want to try it out can actually type whole words.
This is very good indeed. Use this if u want to learn how to pronounce a word.
You can only access half of the keys, so it's really not very useful to install the free version. The reading function reads out the word letter by letter, not like the word itself. And done characters are displayed incorrectly, like the bilabial trill, which should *not* be a simple capital B. Altogether, this one is pretty poor.
