About MultiROM Manager

THIS APP IS NO LONGER MAINTAINED AND PROBABLY WILL NOT WORK.

This app only works on selected devices. Check the list at the bottom of this description.
This application requires root and it is designed to be used by experienced "power users".

It is strongly recommended to read XDA thread before installing this app, you can find links at the bottom of this description.

MultiROM Manager can install or update MultiROM, it's recovery and kernels. It can also install Ubuntu Touch system-image based builds into MultiROM as a secondary ROM.

MultiROM is one-of-a-kind multi-boot mod for Android devices. It can boot any Android ROM as well as other systems like Ubuntu Touch. Besides booting from device's internal memory, MultiROM can boot from USB drive connected to the device via OTG cable. The main part of MultiROM is a boot manager, which appears every time your device starts and lets you choose ROM to boot. You can see how it looks on the left image below and in gallery. ROMs are installed and managed via modified TWRP recovery. You can use standard ZIP files to install secondary Android ROMs, daily prebuilt image files to install Ubuntu Touch and MultiROM even has its own installer system, which can be used to ship other Linux-based systems.

This is the most amazing app in the Play Store, and my personal favorite by far. Allows you to have multiple Android installations on the same device. Before I buy an Android device, I check 3 things: can it be rooted, can the bootloader be unlocked, and is it supported by MultiROM. ** Warning ** Once you try this app and experience the sheer awesomeness of having multiple versions of Android to use on the same device, you will find other unsupported devices with only 1 Android installation to be boring and lame. Mr. Bocek, you are a dev prodigy with insane next level skills. Mad props yo.

I have this app on my nexus 5. but the Nexus has many issues. Please let me know when is available for Samsung s 5 Neo. I would love to continue using this app.

Q70%
by Q####:

was best! but right now is worst! I mean, doesn't work on nougat specifically in nexus 6p with 7.1.2 Android version

Q70%
by Q####:

Thank you so much. I finally got to try Ubuntu Touch as well as other ROMs without having to lose my current setup. This shall have a permanent spot on my Nexus 4!

Q70%
by Q####:

Amazing idea but there isn't much use for me as you can't use the same app data on different ROMs, so I would have to download the apps and games twice taking double the amount of storage and I would have to backup my game data with Titanium Backup before I change ROM every time, then restore the data. Please work on making the same app data available on all ROMs, unless we choose not to. Thank you.

My device is not supported. Im using Xperia z ultra, please update. I'll give 5 stars. Thnks

Q70%

Useful if your on marshmallow, useless if your on nougat. You should add support for it on devices like Flo (which I'm testing on) and many more. Multirom on nougat would be great.

It's unofficially supported. And works perfectly fine. I don't see the problem in adding convenience by officially supporting it.

This is an excellent app, it does it's job perfectly. The thing is NOT TO MESS WITH THE STOCK ROM!!! Leave that alone after installing multirom, then and only then will Ubuntu Touch boot, also you'll have no other problems with booting ROMs and whatnot. Another thing to take in mind is NOT EVERY UBUNTU IMG WILL BOOT!!! Do research and/or test to find which channels work for you. Great job to the devs who made this possible, it's like an lil Android BIOS, which btw is awesome!

Great app I want to install nethunter as my second rom. I had it as my first but was destroying my battery life so flash new pure Nexus as primary and still have all the files from the nethunter install. Flash pure Nexus as second rom and it boots up fine. But when I flash anything else like SuperSU,Kali kernel,or gapps ECT it never boots stay stuck at Google logo

Q70%

Awesome app. Run great on my Nexus 5 (6.0.1) , the only complaint is... Ubuntu card not working. I already select every single option. The phone reboot, Google logo appears, reboot again and back to ROMs screen. Please add option to choose between Ubuntu and Plasma Mobile(KDE).

Dev pl reply will this support Android N as I have tied on NEXUS 6 there is some problem! Is there an update which you are going to release ? I love to flash ROMs and this is the one app which is a must for every power user. Good job developer

My device galaxy note 3 (hltecan) not supported but it looks great and maybe some day it will work for me. To all those giving 1 star because your device is not supported that is not fair. Go port it yourself

I can technically boot into two ROMs. That's awesome. Unfortunately, Internet is really slow/spotty on Dirty Unicorns, and the camera won't launch on stock (which is the only real reason I'd want a stock TW rom). Props for trying, and looks like it works for many others.

This app has bricked my OnePlus One after updating the TWRP. I can't get it to open in to fast boot or recovery mode.

Q70%
by Q####:

Well, unfortunately, my device (kenzo) is unsupported. But, I've seen it working in a video. Hence, I'm more than glad to give it four stars, and hope my device will be supported soon. Five stars promised when my phone is supported.

I just have one problem; when i boot into ubuntu after installing from this app, it won't boot into ubuntu and just reboots again into the stock os that I'm running on my o oneplus one. Everything else is just perfect

U70%
by U####:

Installs with literally just a tap of a button. I can swap between multiple roms, and install them on a usb/sdcard. This way I wont have to worry about wearing my phones emmc chip by flashing/testing so many new roms each day XD

Z70%
by Z####:

Finally after using kingroot then installing this app and letting it do its thang, I've got a really good recovery going on, flashed the right SuperSU.zip to permanently root and backed up stock ROM! Ubuntu Touch works great but only Stable and RC does, don't know why devel doesn't work but who cares!? I've got an awesome hack! Ubuntu Touch does indeed work on this device with Marshmallow OS via xda Nexus 5 port

They can't function to my device its seems android version 4.4.4 and have extra 4 layer but absolutely malfunction. The nexus and their ally company have avail this kind of multirom manager. But I can give 4 star for developing this to the other android devices. Thanks more powers. God is Good all the time.

Can you please just review the ubuntu touch installation scripts? once updated the base rom to CM13 (android 6) seems that partition schema has changed and whatever flavour of utouch I try in my nexus4, it doesn't boot anymore. Thanks

U70%
by U####:

I have used this for a long time now but latest update to 3.0.0 has some problems. It worked initially but when I updated primary rom, Multirom would seemed to be skipped and it would boot like it would if I didnt have it installed. Its there but wouldnt boot into it automatically, so I reinstall multirom over previous installation and it started at boot again. Then later, I found out my primary rom didnt have Kexec so through the Multirom app I installed Kexec. When it rebooted it skipped the Multirom boot
