They take 30% of your fees! Any business who uses this service must be completely insane! Use Thumbtack instead. You pay a very reasonable set fee per lead and Thumbtack doesn't try to own you.

Don't sign up to be a tasker. They don't have any jobs, occasional task that come twice a year are from dumbest idiots that will make you puke. Totally useless app.

This app is a great idea, but you have to fill out every thing before finding your not in my area.... would be nice to see where you do service before all the effort. Would definitely use this if it was around me.

Not available in San Diego, and no way to find out before you apply. They charge a $20 non refundable fee, and instantly they send and email telling you they don't provide service in that area. I guess that's how they really make their money. Taking advantage of people in need.

Have to downgrade the rating. I have been asking for a detailed task description so I can get the amount reimbursed from the original assemblers. All the task Rabbit team is doing is constantly sending me the original receipt stating "we are an online only business". Absolutely rubbish and such poor customer care!!

Good start, bad finish. Hired someone to do multiple tasks. Did incomplete job. Don't get too excited about the service. It is still work in progress. Customer service was good and responsive

I never got the opportunity to try the app because, after paying, it never sent a single job after a year. Uninstalling.

After the original iteration of this company, which included more transparency for tasker's and people hiring them, this company turned to complete garbage.

This app has gotten so terrible. I haven't been able to schedule any task I've needed in months. I just officially gave up after trying 20 (really, 20) times over an entire week to schedule a Tasker to handle minor repairs to a rental unit before an inspection. Literally painting 2 spots on a wall white, filling in nail holes and a small hole cut for wiring, and putting down a small piece of floor laminate from IKEA. The app is fundamentally broken, frustrating, and useless: - You can only schedule for a specific day and time window (unless it's same-day) and can't choose a wider availability range - You MUST look through prospective Taskers one by one (rather than take whoever is willing to take the job at that day/time) - You must manually keep track of anyone you've selected for the job that couldn't do the Task; even when they've said no to the Task, they still appear in the list of available Taskers when you go to reschedule the same Task, and there is no mechanism in place to stop you from attempting to book them again (it's easy to forget when you're 20 Taskers in!) - Selecting a Tasker involves swiping through a randomized list of Taskers one by one (not a single filter available to match your needs) - After submitting a Task, the app tells you by default - every single time - that the Tasker will get back to you within 30 minutes. Not a single time did that happen, not once out of 20 times. Why specify a time window that means nothing and is never met? I'd rather not know than be told a promise that is broken every time. I could go on and on, but will stop here and make this my official last interaction with TaskRabbit. I was once such a fan - when it worked - and evangelized it to others. I'm not sure what's happened. No significant app improvements, no acting on user feedback, and if 20/20 Taskers rejected spackling for $85 an hour, I have a feeling it's not because of me or my Task, but because of how TaskRabbit is dealing with or taking care of their Tasker contractors. Save yourself the aggravation: call your nearest hardware store, ask them if they have a recommended person or provider for your "task", and enjoy how much time and money you'll save by doing things the old fashioned way (for the record, I'm San Francisco tech worker who always, always uses whatever alternative exists to talking over the phone). Doing that got me talking to a qualified, well-reviewed contractor who took the job and will be here in 13 hours for $5 more per hour than the absolute cheapest Tasker I came across for the same job, and significantly below the average rate for the 20 Taskers I tried. I am completely serious when I say that transitioning TaskRabbit into an app that literally just calls the nearest hardware store, and nothing else, would be a massive improvement. Stay away.

After a rocky start with a tasker that quit on me, I was blessed to end up with Tyrone S., an Elite professional who I will definitely be calling on again for my future task rabbit needs!

This game sucks. It's asks for 20$ then doesn't let you play.

I've had much better luck with this site than others, have been happy with multiple taskers and appreciate the ease of payment.

I hired Jeremy from Task Rabbit to shop for numerous items from two places for me. He found every item I asked for exactly as I wanted. He was fast and efficient. I had used a competitor previously and the result was not nearly as good. I will definitely call on Task Rabbit for assistance in the future!

DO NOT BE SCAMMED BY BEING A TASKER!!! I tried to become a Tasker and they have a 20 dollar fee charged to you at the time of the background check but BEFORE your application os complete. Then, if you are approved, you may find they dont exist where you live. Would be nice to know before charging me jerks. Also, the Tasker app osnt even in either stores, but they dont say this. Vwry misleading company preying on those trying to make a fast buck on labor. TERRIBLE COMPANY!! Oh, and you have to file your own independent contractor taxes, something else they leave out before the 20 dollar fee. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANYS SERVICE!!!!

So far I am not impressed! Can't find where I can update the task I am willing to do. Should be able to update the tasks and rates. If it is there, not easy to find. Took my $20, for registration, will to see if I wasted the $20.

They charge you $20 upfront then tell you there are no jobs in your area. They know this up front but have decided to prey on people looking for work. Horrible, have to put a stop to this.

They charge a processing fee of 20 dollars? And they only tell you this after you fill out the long application. Why would I pay $20 to work for your company? Especially without even being able to see how many work opportunities are in my area. Such a disappointment.

I payed a $20 fee for a background check and never heard anything back. When I went on the website to log in they said that they would contact me when jobs became available. They should let you know that before you pay $20. I had just lost my job and that $20 was borrowed. I reached out to customer service and never got a reply. All this was a month ago. Still no jobs and still no reply from customer service. Horrible service for taskers.

Took away my moving stress. I was able to hire someone on short notice- two days before- after discovering my initial plan of using a friend or family member for transportation was not an option. I believe I would have even been able to find someone even closer to the date as there were plenty of people to chose from. Everything went smoothly and I have no gripes.
