Streams in the Desert

I like the fact that this app uses the original language of each author and commentator Mrs. Cowman references in her compilation. I have the hard copy of the updated version, and I really like being able to read what the original authors wrote in the language contemporary to them. This is an amazing and time-tested compilation, and God's truth shines through in every line. I love starting my day with it!

I like it a lot. The devos are deeper than most. The 4 stars are because I wish it could've been put more to today's language. Some of the readings are annoying because of all the things that we don't say anymore.

Enjoy the app. Like the reminder, and being able to create notes. I have always loved Streams in the Desert this app made it easy for me to read daily. THX

I already have Streams in the Desert hardback book and found it to be a superb daily devotional, so rich in its content of Christian teaching. Now I have it on my phone I can take it with me wherever I go. Fantastic app.

Good, best part about it is that it plugs into your phone's text to speech feature so you can listen to it instead of reading.

The content is among the best in the original language, of which I am a fan. Nice features for current application, enjoying updated photos.

Awesome Daily Devotional. Streams is not a fluffy tea time devotional. Each day it speaks to my heart. It chaĺlenges me to look at my walk with Jesus as well as my need for continual growth. It encourages, provokes thought and teaches me to look at the deeper things with the guidance of the Holy Spirit. I have walked with Jesus for 30 years and this devotional is my favorite. I have shared many a devotion from it with others. This app is simple to use. I have never had an issue with it. Thank you so much.

Overall, the messages are inspirational. However, I found the context in which the content is written, to be potentially distracting to someone who is not very familiar with informal English pronouns. I also found the messages to be very lengthy. Not a good fit for me.

O my God, this is a classical masterpiece. What I have been looking for. It's great. Please keep this up.

I enjoy the devotionals, but get reminders all different times. This doesn't help when you have the little ones.

Of course Streams in the Desert is a classic, but I also really love the functionality of this specific app. I had another Streams devo app for a couple of years, but I was so pleased when I came across this one - I LOVE all the features this one has - try them all out, I highly recommend this app - and this devo!

I'm not sure it will ever replace my hard copy of Streams, but I do appreciate this app. Streams in the Desert is a light in a world full of marshmallow fluff devotionals.

It is awesome how God uses this devotional and gives me encouragement when and where I need it most.

This was my first devotional years ago that my mother recommend. Still wonderful..and inhanced by the format...Only criticism: i don't need to be reminded everytime who developed it....I want to concentrate on the Lord only.

The voice reading the text sounds robotic, could you change it to a more expressive human voice? It would be perfect listening to it while driving your car. More power and God bless.
