Messages are about more than just words, so we think your keyboard should be about more than just letters. Slash gives you quick access to the things you share every day like photos, places, music, GIFs, stickers, emoji and more. Just tap “/” to unlock the magic! Our goal is to boost your productivity and make your conversations more fun. Slash works in your favorite messaging apps and social networks, including Messages, Email, WhatsApp, Twitter, Snapchat, and Instagram.

We take your privacy very seriously. Slash is required to ask for the Slash Input Method to connect to all of our services. However, we do NOT record anything you type. We do NOT transmit any sensitive information over a network. We do NOT sell your data or profile you in any way.

What we collect:
• Crash logs to see if there are bugs in our code
• Analytics to see engagement and retention levels, so we can improve our product. This data is anonymous and includes metrics like how many times in aggregate our keyboard is used each day

What we do NOT collect:
• Keystrokes. Your messages are private, and we promise to keep it that way. All of our autocorrect processing is done locally on your device, so we do not access or store what you type. The only thing we access (but do not store) are your search queries, which we need to bring you results for gifs, videos, songs, venues, and more.

This is indeed a great keyboard. I was reluctant to try something outside of google keyboard because I was happy with that. But this contains a lot of gifs to share, your dictionary from google keyboard is automatically included, there's different levels of autocorrect, and lots more. The best is I've been pissed off for months since typing .png was spaced every time no matter how i tried to stop it. This fixes it. Finally. Tyvm.

I love the concept. Being able to add from social media directly through the keyboard is so convenient. However, I'm so used to swipe typing that it's hard to get into using it for very long. If that was added I'd give it 5 stars. Also, why is the keyboard so slow in its own app? Like when I try to connect my accounts by signing in, the keys take so long to respond.

Y70%
by Y####:

There is no icon for changing language. As I use more than one language it is very important. It is waste of time f**k you developer can't add something very Important like that. go to h*ll

M70%
by M####:

1. Make a swipe for changing language's. 2. Customized height keyboard 3. When using Gif or picture make sure not create a new messages instead of paste to current messages. 4. Prediction box have to stay instead of disappeared if haven't type for a seconds.

Great idea, failure to deliver. No ability to Change keyboard size, gif add-on does not work, and the keyboard is not high res like my screen. Features not working properly. I do love the easy ability to add words to dictionary as you type.

M70%
by M####:

Overall this app satisfies my needs for adding gifs and other features. I wish you could just insert a gif in the conversation instead of having to say which conversation. Also, when adding my Spotify account and Instagram, the sign in page freezes when I try and type my info to the point where it'll take a few minutes to register a character pressed of crash. Either way I love this app. Running on Galaxy S7E

C70%
by C####:

Not sure if there is a way for the devs to fix it, but when using any SMS app, it opens prompt to select the conversation you want to share and crashes. It needs to use the current conversation and not prompt. Dunno if there is a way around it, great idea either way.

I Wanted a keyboard to easily send gifs. The first thing it told me was "we are having a problem tap here to try again" I have not been able to do anything with it.

I rarely write reviews, but this is a good keyboard so I thought i would.. It is a very good keyboard a good alternative to Gboard, unfortunately though the fact that it doesn't have the swipe to type feature then it will never be a true contender for Gboard. Im surprised that it doesn't have this feature due to the fact that almost every new keyboard has this feature. Also if you were to add a clipboard feature like the one that can be found in apps such as native clipboard, touchpal and Multi Clipboard. Add these two features and i think that not only could you be a real contender for GBoard but I think you could even claim the spot of best keyboard on android as no keyboard that I have yet found has the search ability like slash and GBoard, the ability to use the swipe function and a built in clipboard as well

M70%
by M####:

No swiping. Androids gets basic Material Dark, Black or White and Holo Blue. iOS..."Pick from 7 Slash themes, and 5 new colorful themes to add life to your keyboard". WTH? Shortcut bar when enabled is annoying as it disappears when typing. Curious how this will affect battery life? So I just disabled. In doing so, you ave to use the / to bring up the slashes, which you are unable to rearrange. So you have to scroll to find your custom /'s. Likely to keep installed to see how it develops as it has potential. For now, back to Gboard.

M70%
by M####:

This app is awesome! I waited so long for gboard to come to Android and I found this! It's brilliant. But I miss a height adjustment, just like the Google Keyboard's one. That would be a great improvement since me and a lot of people keep pressing the dot key instead of the right keys. Please, that would make this app perfect!

G70%
by G####:

I like the idea, but the keyboard is really big, and there's no way to resize it. I like to make my keyboard really small, because I have a big phone and I can still type accurately even with a small keyboard. This keyboard is way too big

R70%
by R####:

I usually do not write reviews but this app is so good I have to publicize it to as many people as possible. It has way more features then any other keyboard. Yes it is definitely better than the Gboard that iOS 10 offers because it also allows you to share songs from Spotify and share contacts within seconds without having to go to your contacts app to copy and paste the contact to your clipboard. The only thing this keyboard needs a little work on is the formating of the keyboard. But it is the best!

I70%
by I####:

I have been using Swiftkey for a very long time, and I feel that it is my gold standard against which I compare all other keyboard apps. What I did appreciate for this app was the privacy it offers. Swiftkey follows every little thing I type, but this just does what a keyboard is supposed to do. I like the extra sharing options like stickers, social media, and google maps. I didn't like that I can't resize the keyboard. It takes up way too much room and would appreciate being able to adjust the size.

R70%
by R####:

Love the idea the team is going for with this, but there are a couple major things that made me go back to the Google keyboard. 1. The fact that when you share things in a chat/conversation, you have to select the conversation you're already in. 2. No swipe. 3. The top bar is enough, the / button just takes up room. Overall super cool, just missing a couple issues.

I use textra for my messaging app. If I am in a conversation and select a gif from the slash keyboard, it brings up an entirely new message and I have to add the contacts. Really doesn't save time as I am still having to work with two different windows. Fix this and it'd be 5 stars

X70%
by X####:

First. Please improve personal slash. Like Autotext on Blackberry. I can't add new line. For me as seller on ecommerce, it will helps a lot. So far I really appreciate this feature. *** Second. Can you add an option to disable some shortcut bar? I don't need FB or IG or any other services icons, but yes I need emoji and some custom slash, but you know, I only can drag the order. *** REMINDER, the first suggestion is the ultimate hope for me. So I can add /new line, not single line sentence.

It's a dope concept however I just don't like that when I need to type numbers I have to hit a button to get to it. The stock keyboard the numbers are right there. Maybe that's asking a lot considering all of the other things going on. Also I would like to see some more customizing options but overall good job.

G70%
by G####:

Two issues keep it from being wonderful. Now that I'm typing with it to write this review, its actually three. Allow removal of the emoji option from the enter key. Its too easy to press when I try to hold down the period. When it comes to the period, it should vibrate when you hold it down long enough and they punctuation you're selecting should darken to indicate that. Most of all, please add swipe! There's a good chance you're already working on it with all of those requests in the reviews!

R70%
by R####:

its great no less dan g-board for ios.. but it definitely needs few options lyk adjsting d size of the keyboard, sync of words, more themes, fluid search bar, settings shortcut on the keyboard... nevertheless i loved it nd its simply does wot it says!

R70%
by R####:

A cool idea but I'm completely unable to use it without gesture typing/swipe. I've been spoiled by gesture typing for nearly a decade now and I can't go back now, even if the added functions of the keyboard are pretty cool. Love the shortcut bar at the top so you don't have to remember all your slashes. Just wish I could swipe while i wait for a proper GBoard

R70%

So you can select the language you want but there is no bottom to swap the language? Very disappointed. And as well there are no swipe option? You guys can be the best keyboard ever if you add this 2 things. Have a nice one!

R70%
by R####:

I think you should be able to have all the shortcuts on the top row, you can scroll through it or something nice like that. Also swipe typing would be nice feature, and there is a delay, so performance should be kicked up a little. Besides all of that this is a great idea and a good keyboard. Keep up the good work!

This is the keyboard I've been looking for. Every thing in one place. No need to open apps to share the links. Just search on the keyboard and share directly. And it looks so cool and works smoothly. The devs have done an awesome job here. Hats off to them.

R70%
by R####:

1- There is no shortcut to switch the keyboard languages. 2- There's no way to change the keyboard height. 3- shared links are not direct, they are shortened by a 3rd party which is not bit.ly. 4-the ram usage needs to be optimized. Thanks for your great effort.

This is the first keyboard I've like just as much as the stock android keyboard. However, PLEASE add swipe to it. I would use this keyboard full time if I could swipe. It also doesn't correct my countless mistakes as much but that's another easy thing to get over. Other than that, its such a great keyboard

R70%
by R####:

Why does only the iOS version include swipe input and not Android? I tired this keyboard on my iPad and really liked it so I got it on Android. Looks like it is missing a really important feature.

R70%
by R####:

The predictions work well. No unnecessary word forcing and force auto corrects like Swiftkey. I could get used to the slash feature, comes in handy, especially the Google search feature and share are my favorites. Needs some work on the aesthetics front though. Overall its a great app.

R70%
by R####:

The app crashes, most of the times it says try later when using the services. I would love to see this app get better auto correct and swiping.

X70%
by X####:

Just downloaded the app. 3 issues: 1 Can't find the swipe option as in google keyboard. 2 I have an android and want iOS emojis. The emojis can't be changed to iOS ? 3 if I send an emoji I have to select the conversation again !

R70%
by R####:

How can i change language faster? It would be better if I could change language by swiping on space. And move between word by swiping on middle keys. It will be my daily keyboad if I could set that in settings.

R70%
by R####:

Good start, but missing some features that make the Google Keyboard great like gesture typing and better theme support. Also doesn't support advanced emoji sets (changing gender, race, etc.)

N70%

I don' t know if this happens in the english version, but in the spanish one it has a bug when I rotate the keyboard horizontally, the letter ñ, m and the delete button dissapears. Apart of that is a great keyboard.

4 stars only because I do miss swiping when comes to my typing. Hoping for different languages as well in the future.

R70%

But looks large and clunky. Not as pretty as Google keyboard. Needs some refinement on aesthetics and the option to set height of keyboard for those of us who don't want nearly 50% of their screen taken up by their keyboard.

G70%
by G####:

Not sure if there is a way for the devs to fix it, but when using any SMS app, it opens prompt to select the conversation you want to share and crashes. It needs to use the current conversation and not prompt. Dunno if there is a way around it, great idea either way.

Works great in Smartphone (SGS 6) but on tablet there are some viewing issues: no visual feedback in keypress in Material themes (color change vor popup), "p" and backspace cut oft n landscape

R70%
by R####:

There is no swipe typing on it. Also when you turn the keyboard to landscape some of the keys go missing. Please fix this! Otherwise great job!
