Dog Monitor

I love this app! I can check on my dog at anytime, watch her, hear her, talk to her, take snapshots, and even listen to her surroundings! The log is pretty neat too! Having a list of her noisy and quiet times are really useful. It's an amazing alternative to the expensive monitoring devices out there. The only feature I wish it had would be a 2 way camera so she could see me too. The downside, I had to purchase the app from both Google Play and the App Store. My phone is an Android, and I don't have another Android device so I had to use my Mac. And an FYI, this won't work in BlueStacks on Windows because of the cam and mic functionality, and has issues with other Android emulators as well.

I have been at it for hours now and I am beyond frustrated. I am absolutely stumped as to how to get it onto a second device without paying again. I have set up Google Family as instructed however still cannot get this app on a second device. Surely it shouldn't be so hard?? Sorry but not at all user friendly.

I really wanted to like this app. However it constantly disconnects Within moments of monitoring. The sound quality is horrible. the video is shaky at best. Lots of cool features but the connectivity is terrible.

I cannot get it to connect with my other phone as I asks me to purchase it. If I you can help me get it to work that's great if not I'd like a refund please

Very useful app although sometimes it picks up noises I'm making not the dog! It has really helped me and.was well worth the £4.99 X2 !

When it works, it's brilliant. I do find the microphone a little sensitive but if you use the video feed you can see what's really going on and the image is fairly clear (and really clear on WiFi). We do not speak to our dog through it as this would just upset him but it is great for checking in to make sure he is ok. It's a bit of a battery drain at the dog station end but then this may also be because I am using an old mobile for that end. However, it is very unreliable and frequently loses connection, even if you are inside the house on the same WiFi connection for both stations. Earlier I had a great video feed of my dog, I decided to stop the feed to save battery, now it cannot find the dog station. When it does find the station, it tells me it cannot connect to it. This is very frustrating and makes me feel anxious that I cannot check my dog as often as I would like to. For a £5 app, I expected better reliability.

Excellent app to see how your four legged friends are doing when you are at work. Just need to find a way to download the history of what it's recorded to my pc so I have it for future reference

Stays connected for a time but then loses connection can't reconnect from person station. Have already turned off autolock on phone but that didn't address it.

The app keeps disconnecting and adds keep popping up. How do i request a refund!!!

The dog station is constantly disconnecting although the wifi connection is very good (you can not monitor your dog for the rest of the day) and the sound is not very clear.

I love it but can't see the lightbulb icon to turn the light on when its dark.

Seems to work as advertised. Very cool app

PLEASE add the capability to switch between front and rear camera from human station.

I think the app is helpful, it would be great if could save activity log or press record for snippets of video, maybe even all day?? It would also be great if there was an organised way to see how much is noise vs rest even like a graph. Or just total rest vs total noise. It chews through battery so have to keep on charge but if it works I don't mind :D

Unreliable. It has a good concept and I enjoy this app when it's working but sounds like I'm echoing many other reviews when I say I'm constantly disconnected even when both phones are on solid wifi connections. Getting disconnected means you no longer can keep an eye on your dog for the rest of the day. I don't think that's acceptable for a $6 app. It's been a few days and haven't heard back from technical support. I wouldn't recommend this app if these issues continue without a solution.

Best app I've ever purchased, great value, does what it says. Can't believe I didn't know about it sooner - keeping an eye on the dog all day is so easy and being able to talk to her has really helped with her anxiety. The neighbours are happier too...

Nice app, does as advertised. However, sadly you cannot listen to audio and watch video (it's one or the other), and the video playback when remote is fairly slow - it appears when you're remote, the video feed is streamed through a server far from me, rather than through a more local cloud-based server, or at least device-to-device, which results in the round trip time being longer than necessary, and the video playback being super slow. You get can around this by setting up a VPN service within your home, and connect to that before using the app, and you'll stream HD with no problem at all. This is a great app, but hopefully this app will improve in the near future.

I'm so frustrated with needing to pay for this for each matching device. Also the fact there is not a Windows compatible d/l makes this a complete waste of money for me. How do I request a refund?

So far so good! I set a cell plus tablet up as cameras. I can switch from one camera to the other with my main phone. Will test tomorrow as I won't be home.

I've been using this app for ages so I set up the iPad as the dog station as usual and left home. I'm now miles away at my daughter's and my mobile is now saying to put in the code shown on the other device to pair. So I'm not able to monitor my dog. Not good.

It disconnected me just to rate and couldn't reconnect

Does not work!!

I love this app. When it works, it's great and I have no complaints. The only problem is that it doesn't always work. Dog station disconnects a lot and doesn't always automatically reconnect. When this happens or if I close the app on the person station, then I am unable to connect again until I can go home and reset the app on the dog station. Wish there was some way I could remotely reset the app on the dog station from the person station so that I could still connect back again instead of not being able to check on my dog until I get home. Many times I have accidentally closed the app on the person station and then have been unable to reconnect to the dog station. Wish you would fix this and make this app more reliable.

Not impressed - had to download app on both phones at a cost of £4.99 each and then they did not pair. Received code to pair and then the one phone was continually trying to pair to the station phone. Wifi was working, even had blue tooth on, just in case. Stayed like this for the entire night, eventually my one phone died. I have emailed them but as yet, have not had a response. I do believe a refund is in order. I would love for this app to work as it sounds just what I am looking for, but clearly it does not work - such a pity

So far so good! Love the instant voice command feature and the light for when it gets dark. It is helping with training our puppy. She is still super confused when she years my voice though. Hilarious to watch! Question though, Do you have to buy the app again for each device you want it on? I want to add it on another phone..

Very disappointing so far. Dog station continues to lose connection and won't play video at all. Lost connection when I left home and wouldn't reconnect. Will try again on WiFi and if it works better will review again. It not working when I urgently needed to check on my dog was not helpful.

When the app works its great. But everytime time i use it dont last long. Maybe 1hr at most and the dog station disconnects and unable to conecct again till i get home. Ive used this app lots and only ever got one full days use with out being disconnected. Will stop using unless its fixed

Brilliant, took me about half an hour to figure out how to put it on 2nd device without having to pay for it again, but when I eventually got it working, it was brilliant. Was able to see and hear what my dog was doing when we all went out for a birthday meal. Keep up the good work guys, I've now found it pretty easy to use. ☺

Love the app. Glad that I can monitor my dog from anywhere. Thank you to the developers. A few quick questions... One, why does the front facing camera work better? Or is it ng tablet? Two, for the activity log, does it get stored anywhere just in case we need to refer back to it? Or does the history get lost once I exit the app?

It's a great app...when it works. I find that I get disconnected from my tablet (pet station) whenever I switch from Wi-Fi to 3G and vice versa on my phone (person station). And I cannot reconnect because the app is closed on my tablet. I'm at least able to calm my puppy down before being disconnected, but I would like to continue to have an eye on him when I'm at work!

Great app. Allows us to monitor the dogs in the camper when we go out for a little while without having to worry they are barking and bothering the neighbors. I have not had the connectivity issues that so many are complaining about. Have been using the app on and off for a couple years and it's definitely worth the investment. I highly recommend it.
