Tapingo for Android
Sometimes it double charges me by notifying that my order didn't go through (when it actually did) so I have to order again. Even if I check my order history, it only shows I made one order- but o end up getting charged twice.
I shouldn't have to mute the entire app to not be bombarded with promotions. I don't even get the useful "your food is ready!" messages anymore, just "your food might be ready" after 10 minutes. While delivery fees are to be expected (though I would've liked some notification before a service fee was implemented) they're expensive to the point where I would rather just put on clothes and drive myself to the place to pick up. If there was any other way for me to order a coffee in advance with my campus meal plan, I wouldn't keep this app on my phone a second longer.
They charge you $3 delivery fee for just about every company in the area that already has delivery. Plus they send me 3+ push notifications a day for "sales and discounts" that apparently can't be turned off.
Great when it works but crashes for no reason and tells me it's my internet connection. No other apps on my phone have this issue and no way to ask anyone for help on the app. Nothing will load. Thanks for the waste of time guys. Super cool.
The promotional notifications are intrusive and annoying and cannot be disabled without also disabling delivery notifications. It may be a useful service but there are better comparable or better services that don't spam your phone.
Love Tapingo as it makes my life easier. I don't have to wait in long lines to get my food. I just show up, grab and go.
Lost 3 stars because of the annoying notifications. No way to turn off promotions but keep delivery notifications.
Crashes most of the time. All they do for delivery is order from the restaurant's website. The history always shows the wrong time, sometimes off by 7:30 hours.
Can't turn off notifications for random sales. THE most annoying thing in the world
Times and activity statuses are inaccurate. Delivery fee could be cheaper, too. But other than that, it's good.
Stop sending me 5 notifications a day. I don't care if there is an urgent sale because it always seems like there is one.
Annoying notifications -1 Doesn't ever remember "usuals" like it says it can -1 Separated transaction fees and made it so they can't be paid by student account -1 If you think even a majority of people will add in something separate from their student account, you're dead wrong.
Waaaaay too many promotions, sales, and junk texts.
Will send you constant notifications even if you have them turned off, which makes no logical sense.
This is a awful app and they will not help you if there is an issue with your order
Chimken nuggets and love are mine. Tapingo saves me from wasting time.
The notifications are actually insane. Super spammy and very annoying. One star until they're removed.
Top notch. Waiting in line is no fun -- Tapingo definitely solves that problem.
Charging per order seems like a way to nickel and dime people.
I couldnt add my card. I would try to put it in and the expiration date would always be one year later when i tried to submit it.
Very poorly designed, spams with surveys
REALLY good for getting food between classes and skipping the lines. Great college tool
Awful, annoying alerts, and terrible service
Excellent app, makes ordering and picking up orders so much faster. ..no more waiting in line!
Can't turn off notifications. Ended up removing it
Way too many notifications and it subtly charges you more just to order ahead.
Doesn't let me add campus card
Love the app. Only improvement would be to keep up to what is available and what isn't in the restaurants available.
Crashes too much
Life changing. No lines.
Is good food.
Convient
Would be great if they actually took my order for once! Three times in a row my order was cancelled because "there are no drivers in your area". THREE TIMES! Until they fix this problem, and I doubt they will, this is the most garbage app I've ever seen.
Its ight I have a few problems with viewing menus but it changes on a daily bases which ones I can / cant see so probably not the apps fault. *update* everything is broken on the app most of the time.
Half the time I order when the app says a location is available, I get through filling out all the information and then my order won't go through because it says the location is unavailable. This wouldn't be a big deal if it was every one in a while, but this app does this to me for half the locations, All. The. Time.
Notifications don't always work, no way to see the entire description of items, can't change order without deleting items and starting over, many items missing. Terrible customer support. Only use this app if you're very familiar with the items from the restaurant and if you're ready for a hassle.
Works for my situation: pick-up orders on a University campus. Saves 1 human interaction and 5 minutes of waiting, every once in a while.
Seriously garbage app. Orders are always 30-60 minutes late, they change your delivery address after you place an order, good luck trying to get a refund because they absolutely refuse to do so even if your order is delivered 4 hours late, which actually happened once.
I don't think you know what "urgent" means. Every day I get a notification labelled "urgent" about some deal. It's just spam. I know you all have to make money but please be courteous to your users and allow them to opt out of such notifications.

There's two parts to Tapingo that I believe many reviewers overlook. The apps functionality itself and the restaurants that work with the app. Technically speaking, the app works incredibly well. It's simplistic design is easy to use and incredibly responsive. However, the discrepencys that I've seen happen with the restaurants partnered with the app. The app tries to give the user an estimated time as to when your food will be ready. This is great, however, depending on the restaurant that you are at, the restaurant may be more backed up that the app entails, which in turn means your food will come out later than expected. Following this, mishaps do happen if someone misinterprets your order once the restaurant receives your Tapingo order. This is rare, but based off my usage, the app does its jop and most issues occure internally with the restaurant.
