Tape Measure! allows you to accurately measure any object. It is the most accurate ruler / tape measure on the market!

How it works: Using your android device to take a picture, you are able to measure any object as long as an object of known length (reference point) is in the picture. A predefined list including coins and standard credit cards are listed to use as your reference point. If you do not have any of these objects, you can use the calibration page which displays a ruler on screen so that you can measure your reference point (for example a car key). Since you know the length of one object, you can easily determine the length of the unknown object. Tape measure automatically calculates the length of the object as you move!
Accuracy: The accuracy of this app is down to 1/32in standard and .1cm metric. As long as you are able to accurately point to the edges of objects, you will get a measurement as accurate as using a tape measure. In some cases, you will get even a more accurate reading than a ruler! The user is able to zoom in to accurately measure objects. Make sure that your picture is square with the object in order to get an accurate measurement.

You are under the impression that the app will insert your credit card pic next to the image you want to measure. It does not. So i put in my own measurements which is an option except once you are where the pic to measure is,, the app does not bring in your predisposed measurements,, so im left to try and willy nilly how big i think a credit card would be to get the size of the object. Impossible. The only way this app works is to take a pic of your object next to a reference object. Thats it.

the aspect ratio of the app seems fixed, so the required buttons are off the screen. i cannot get the program past the size reference page.

Difficult to move arrows around on image. Have to tap screen many times before it registers. Why doesnt image display in landscape mode? Should be able to save non-std reference and dimensions for future use. After trying for 1 day I would prefer a refund but was unable to obtain. Not yet ready for prime time. Recommend hold off on purchase until problems resolved.

Nice app, however please note object to be measured must be square to camera. Also UK coins are NOT included - Euro coins are though.

The app crashes every time it attempts to load a picture from the gallery. Is unusable. Note the refund policy: You have only 15 minutes to uninstall before losing ability to get refund. Suggest if you've just bought this that you check pictures will load into the app from the gallery immediately!

Nice idea but too tedious to use. It is too difficult to move those pointers around and get them lined up accurately. The pointers need to be larger for my fingers.

I took three different test pictures and got three different measurements. You must have the refrence object on the thing that you want to measure and the thing that you are measuring must not be viewed at an angle. I tried measuring ny steering wheel. It wasn't easy because I had to hold my reference object in one hand while taking a picture with the other. I can see how this will be useful but only with things that are easy to measure.

This app is great and nothing to it. I used a 12 inch ruler as my reference and it works great. Even if your off by 2 inches the point is close. Great job on this app. For better results, take photo with a digital camera and transfer it to your android for better pixels and you will be amazed.

How do you get the picture in prior to the calibration? It keeps showing the calibration screen but no explanation of how to get the picture in so it can be calibrated.
