Smart Gym for Android
App now requires access to call history for no explained reason, and link to privacy policy doesn't work. App is required to make good use of the rope, but now I don't trust your app. Won't pair anyway, so basically entirely useless.
App was working great until update. Now app will get stuck loading or will not progress past initial "start Smart Gym" screen. Samsung S7 edge.
Biggest load of crap. Both software and firmware are faulty and constantly crash. It's a total demotivator and waste of time. I spend more of my time sending crash reports than I do skipping!!!
It worked fine for a while and now it won't open. I will try to uninstall and reinstall to see if that helps. Meanwhile I will look for another app.
I loved the app, it always connected and the layout was beautiful. Until the update... I haven't been able to connect it for 3 consecutive days and I cannot even enter the app now.
App crashes during a workout. Nothing is then recorded. If it was not for the rope I would not know what I did
Trying to update the firmware but always get the message dfu file error code 4098 is there any fix to this?

When you touch the settings button it crashes.
Couldn't firmware to update with android. Tried ios and much like any other cross platform dev got it to update. Currently working with samsung S8.

I love the app and the value it brings to the smart rope device, BUT it's so frustrating when it does not launch for several days, and that there is no acknowledgement of the issue, it feels like commitment betrayal. This is key to the product, it should be addressed and communicated on, probably need a user forum also. Again, I love smart rope !
Good but needs improvement
The led counter is fun on the rope. But the app itself I haven't had any luck with it connecting to my bluetooth except once. And even then it gave me a 3 count when I tested it with 50 jumps. I'm on a samsung 6 edge plus.
Help, great ropes, but with the new update the ropes now stops counting when I reach 244. Trying to do my interval trading of 500x5.
Just like other users report, history is missing for multiple sessions. Very frustrating.
I don't know if this has been suggested but I think the app could be better if I could also use the camera to record me exercising. I know that would probably be seen as an extra unnecessary feature. But if I could just turn the camera on, and just exercise as well that would make the app better.
When I jump the rope and the program count with me, but after I finish my workout there's nothing in the app( records for how many jumps, calories etc) I'm using one plus two with android lollipop

I don't have Facebook and one of the reasons I got this is to compete with others. Would really like to see Google Play connectivity for me and my friends to take this to the next level!
Firmware updated to N11. Not sure if its the highest firmware though, since clicking it says there is a newer update, but then just reinstalls N11.

Very frustrating. The app won't connect to the skipping rope. I'm using a samsung note 5. When starting a workout, the app asks me to turn on the rope. The blue light flashes for a while but then stops. The app never finds the rope.
Rope won't sync with Galaxy 2. Re-tried several resets of the rope and re-starts of the phone.
Firmware goes through update process and then shows same firmware and update available again and again.
I don't understand what I am doing wrong. I press the play button, jump, and then see the numbers go up, and then press stop. But it still shows that I did not jump at all. Please help! Now, I have an error when trying to update the firmware so I can't even send you the firmware number. The error is GATT CONN TIMEOUT Error Code: 8 Again! I've told you up here that it won't even let me update the firmware! Here is the error code it gave me (please go up and read my message again properly for the code).
Was working great until yesterday. Now it won't open. I uninstalled the app, then reinstalled it and it worked for the rest of the day. Today once again it will not open, when I try to use it I get an immediate error message, Unfortunately smart gym has stopped. After update this app works great! Super response from developer. Fast service fun product. I enthusiastically recommend!
Even after update firmware update still fails
When I have my rope in hand, it won't stay synced over the bluetooth. The app will recognize the rope for a second, without pulling up any stats, and then it will drop the connection. I'm using a Galaxy S3
I had a problem to pair application with a rope on S6 Edge. Rope was visible in bluetooth devices, but app said Connecting but nothing happend. After a while rope went into sleep mode and app was still Connecting. Reinstalling app does not help. Rebooting phone does not help. Switching BT on/off does not help. I was able to pair it once, after I removed all my paired devices from bluetooth configuration - Samsung Gear (not connected) + Bose SoundLink (not connected). After pairing I tried to update rope firmware and it ended with something like "GATT... blabla 193" error. This is quite poor user experience :(
I have gone through 2 of these ropes now. The first one was inconsistent on the LED and the second one doesn't want to connect to Bluetooth new out of the box. Save your money and count your jumps.
So apperently it's worthless unless you have a ( smart rope ) I downloaded because s health expended your best bet is do not download! :^(
Not working
As the title says this application crashes often and cannot be moved to a SD card. I think the crashes are due to the app being used when it isn't connected to the jump rope; at least that seems to be the common thread. The two are paired, but if the connection is lost and I go into parts of the application the crash happens; I haven't done a lot of testing to see how reproducible this is.
App works fine. Rope won't pare.

I received my brand new Smart Rope today and it doesn't work. I downloaded the latest version of the app and upgraded the firmware. The rope does not show me any counts and the app did not registered any jumps. I tested the LED and it turns on and pressing the button does respond in the app. Also checked and confirmed that the rope is connected to my HTC 10 phone. I will be returning the rope back to the vendor.
