The best dictionary app for Android. Interface is very clean and easy to use, also examples are very helpful and I like the ability to expand every word and sentence. This little app can replace your big and bulky 電子辞書.

A70%
by A####:

Not practical. Why isn't there a common word filter? For example, たべる (eat) definition is listed ninth. Ninth! It's the most commonly used Japanese word for 'eat'. Ridiculous.

I don't know how to say, but this is a good app with good quality from free app like this, and you can't find some apps like this on out there. The first things that is great about this app is, offline. We know that in 2017, Internet almost on everything is required, but not everyone have a full 24 hours access of internet, so without data package this is good app. P.S: I love the UI.

Really the most functional Japanese dictionary I've used. This app presents information that is usually most relevant to students (conjugating charts anybody?).

Romaji transliteration of words, meanings AND sentences in Grey makes life easy for those learning the scripts. Going paid totally worth it!

R70%

Great app, does everything I need it to and does it beautifully (which is apparently rare for dictionary apps).

So far so good

I bought this app some time ago, and loved it... Better than anything else out there. Now, however, it's got adverts, despite my having PAID for this app.

Q70%
by Q####:

It's great but I would like to be able to disable the ads, since I bought the app before it went free.

M70%
by M####:

The app's alright, but for the storage space it takes up, it should be and could be A LOT better. The website version searches words a lot better than the app. The thing it could improve on the most are the example sentences. especially on the website. They're very long and complex. They should be short, simple, and use the word being searched effectively. I know it'll be a lot of work but please fix those example sentences. Some of them are horrible!

M70%

My favourite Japanese-English dictionary. Could you implement a search history?

M70%
by M####:

I've tried them all. When it comes to having all the conjugations quick and easy to access this one takes the cake.

Good layout, good font type, easy to use. But needs function to search radicals.

Really beautiful UI. I use Tandorin for all my learning : translation, kanji (stroke order, usage in words) and examples.

It would be better if pressing back button can exit the program.

Very good offline dictionary. Ad supported but they don't get in the way and easy to remove. If you use the website version you will be right at home with this application version.

Great app, too bad it's free now.

W70%

This app is very nice, but could you please allow the back button to close it? It just opens the search instead, so I have to manually kill the app. Also, as mentioned by others, the radical search from the website would be nice.

U70%
by U####:

I love the website and the app is free so I'll give 5 stars, but it sucks that the Kanji writing (i.e., line order) part isn't in the app. Otherwise looks great.

E70%
by E####:

Good dictionary, but could be improved: 1. Search 'autocomplete'/partial match results, like in Akebi. 2. If app is not in phone storage, store the downloaded data on whichever storage the app is installed in. Or let the user manage it. Users of phones with small internal storage die a little when they install this app!

U70%

Wonderful, makes translations much more reliable.

Although I bought this on launch because I love the website so much, and want to support it. Hope this app improves to become almost as useful as the website.

X70%

This app is very helpful. But, there are some bugs, including: - keyboard being closed and opened by its own will when you tap on search bar. - endless detailed info about kanji if you tap on kanji while looking at a full word. Also, it'd be amazing if you added search by a radical and kanji favorites list (I see the star icon but cannot see the favs tab and whatnot). Overall, this is a nice and stable app. Thank you.

One of the best Japanese dictionaries out there. Had some problems with ads, but now it's okay.
