About Text widget (donate)
▌BASIC INFO:
Very simple minimalistic widget, which displays any text on your Android home screen. It allows multiple instances of the widget and has wide possibilities of settings. This version also includes Tasker / Locale plug-in, which becomes even more powerful tool than ever.
▌TASKER/LOCALE PLUG-IN:
In case you use Tasker/Locale application, I have included plug-in which displays "dynamic" text on your homescreen. Tasker application allows variable replacement, so that it becomes very powerful tool for you if you are familiar with this application.
▌USAGE:
1. in the TEXT WIDGET set up unique name in advance settings (name, which will be used for communication between widget and Tasker/Locale application)
2. in the Tasker/Locale application create task and include this plug-in. To set up the plug-in, set the same name as used in widget and add any content to be displayed on the Android homescreen.

It becomes essentially useless after it starts 20 times (repeatedly restarted it to see what happens). Font control (size, etc.) is disabled. That would be OK if the author's description said so. Otherwise, it's a fair app which may appeal to those liking it's approach.

Really love this... Using it in my 3 devises. And also suggested to my all friends.... Cool app.... One thing is missing scroolling text i think they add it in soon...

This does not cause system hangs which I am so greatful for. I would like to let you know that by modifying the data XML you can change the use counter to a negative integer ex.: -55378008 and have nearly limitless uses I would recommended fixing this ASAP.

Does not work on newer high resolution phones, everything is to small and misproportioned. It wouldn't look all that great even if sized correctly.

I was expecting lots of fonts and backgrounds but customisation is very limited. The interface doesn't show you how your text will look so you have to keep going back to your home screen to check.

Why cant we see the preview text while we're editting the text? Why cant we have 2 widget with different text?

I use this to make section/Page headers on my phone. Only issue is I sometimes have trouble editing an already placed word, but other than that it does just what I want :) would love to see rotated/vertical text and the ability to use external fonts, that would make it pucca!

I would buy if the text alignment wasn't so funky. The first letter of each word is right at the very edge of the screen when using "align right"
