Waste of time, have the box required but couldn't even get it to connect.

K70%

Downloaded app. App couldn't find box. Then it could. Then it couldn't. When it said it could it couldn't connect (error message link said I had to connect to internet. Needless to say I was!). Absolute waste of space.

Tv box does not remember phone id it's always unchecked when you go back to it so it doesn't work

Remote Record and TV guide in one easy to use APP, partnered with great TV Youview. Why do we need SKY or Virgin, with TalkTalk and Youview you save time and money.

K70%
by K####:

It's identical to the YouView app except with the TalkTalk logo. It would be good to browse content from the TalkTalk Player on the app (e.g. Film Club or Sky On Demand). Other than that it works as it should. On a side note the TV2GO app still isn't compatible with my Galaxy Note 4.

N70%

Works ok. Would be good if it could control more than 1 box and each box could be named to identify it.

it's rubbish doesn't record bugger all gone back to youview app which works

K70%

Just downloaded this today. Works perfectly. However It would be better if I could see what I have already set to record as I am not sure whether I will get a programme conflict.

The previous app stopped working and now whilst this new app connects to the box it keeps giving temp unavailable yvm5004 error

K70%
by K####:

Complete rubbish, it did connect to box when registering device. But has never connected since, has never once shown the guide, so I can't set a recording

K70%

The youview app before stopped working and this new one doesn't work either. I can open the guide and select programs to record but when I go to view them, nothing has recorded. Why am I not surprised?

Update Feb 2017. I have used for a few weeks now as part of beta testing following my complaint and it is working well. On android 4.2 sent email a month ago and no reply. Also raised via forum and others too having same issue on this version of android. I get error 103 and have tried recommended advice to clear. I have the YouView app installed and working but have 2 boxes so wish to install both.

Disappointing, has let me down too many times now. It tells me my recording has been sent to my youview box, and guess what? No such thing. When it fails to record AHS cult, that's a step too far!!!!!!

Doesn't let you play recorded programmes from subscription channels. Works for stuff recorded that is also on iPlayer. But may as well just use iplayer. You still have to have iPlayer registered.

D70%
by D####:

Works well for me, occasionally fails to set a recording but usually due to a clash.

K70%
by K####:

When scrolling through the programme times the channels do not lock in place, this is basic stuff which even the simplest apps have. Also, when after viewing the synopsis of a programme & you click to go back it takes you to the previous day to the one you were viewing. Once these major glitches are sorted I'll rate higher.

The official Youview app stopped working for me ages ago on 3 different devices and 2 different Android versions. When this Talktalk variant first appeared it was exactly the same with a YVM 5004 error. However, it now seems to have sorted itself and I can once again remotely set recordings exactly as I wanted. Credit to the developers. Well done.

N70%

The app works very well. The only issue i have is the app doesn't pick up the programmes set up to record through the box. It is only any good if I set up to record programmes through the app only as I don't know if programmes will clash. Is there going to be an update at some point so we can see everything that's on the box through the app

I tried installing this on my tablet, (Huawei MediaPad2), and was getting the YVM5004 error. Then tried my phone (Samsung S5) - This seems to be ok, after a reboot of the TV box. And the tablet seems to be running OK now as well. Its not obvious in the app, that it can take up to 15 mins to send your recording selections to the TV box. Ok. programmes I selected to record are showing on the TV box as scheduled. Strangely, I submitted something from my tablet and something from my phone - both have appear on the box as scheduled. but I can't see on one device, what I selected on the other. (perhaps that takes 15 mins to come back?) Running on a 10" tablet is far better than a 5" phone, for obvious reasons. I guess what I need to do now is see if it works remotely.

Dunno what the fuss is about; installed the app, connected it to the box, started setting up the Christmas programs to record - simple and a million times easier to use than the EPG

Dear T T, phone connected and tablet connected. Can read the channels without touching remote, brilliant. .Nothing Else Works Though ? New IT Dept ?

M70%

It seems to be working as it should, all my record requests have worked ok, the UI could use a few changes but presumably this is a YouView issue rather than a Talk Talk one.

It won't install on either my tablet or phone. I had to uninstall UK TV app to try and install it and I can't get this back as it doesn't support 4.2 !! The app doesn't support 4.2 and is no different from You View app!! I know this because it installed immediately on GF's phone running 5.1. although the TV2GO won't install on this phone !! Due to the Car phone whorehouse tie up I assume their logic is you must get a new phone !!!!!

Like all talk talk utilities, they dont work. It's really hit and miss. I have deleted the application, as it would not connect. Five minuets wasted from my life!
