ESPN 1420 AM Honolulu

This is the only option I know of to get 1420. Not bad but super buggy. Says stream starts, doesn't, try to mess with it to get it working, give up. Then 3-4 mins later it starts itself...

Gave it another try but it has a hard time connecting...even on a WiFi connection. SPRINT Samsung GS5.

Full bars and cannot find server due to poor connection? My other streaming apps work just fine. Good thing this was free!

Have strong 4G signal, says can't connect trying alternate sources, after a few attempts, crashes. Wanted to listen to UH mens volleyball. Guess not.

The app works just fine, but why do I have to hit the app settings for Listen Live? And why doesn't it pause automatically when phone calls come in?

I need this app. I now live in new jersey and its the best way to catch my favorite shows. One suggestion, would it be possible to create a play back feature? With the time difference its really hard to catch the local hawaii shows i love. I can get the mainland stuff anywhere but this is my main source for my homeland shows.

As I sit here watching a beautiful red espy screen with nothing happening, I continue to think to myself how deeply I regret buying an Android. Not only because of my new association with T-Mobile, but now this. Even google plant will often not or glacially load--I am at 4G and wifi as we speak. I may have to inset in a $5.00 transistor radio on E-Bay

The app needs work. Kind of slow loading. The app has potential, so don't give up on it.

Unable to stop/terminate the “On Air” feature. No “Exit” or “Disconnect” options in the GUI. Onscreen Pause “ll” button stops audio but the app “com.talismanlbs.espnhnl” remains running with onscreen bubble message “Buffering” displayed. 3rd-party apps such as Advanced Task Killer fail to stop “com.talismanlbs.espnhnl”. Battery drain & data usage become a major concern. Simplest solution I've found is to launch Android 2.3.4 built-in “Remove App” utility & click on “clear data” for ESPN HNL application.

The player will now pause when you make or get a phone call. It will resume after your call ends.

Installed on a Nexus 7 FHD 2013 running Android 4.4. App launches, but the station never connects despite strong WiFi signal. Also, this app requires location based services be turned on so that you can be blasted by ads. Totally lame. Received reply: Talisman LBS, LLC February 26, 2014 "Sometimes it takes up to 10 seconds to connect to the server and buffer the stream. It is a server issue. Location based services are only required for the optional use of a location based search engine to find deals from real local merchants. These deals are used like coupons in a store. No one is blasted by Ads in this app." I'll bump my review up one star just because you've reached out to me, but I've left this app on upwards of 5 minutes and was still unable to connect to the server. Also, I still refuse to turn on location based services- NO ONE needs to know where I am.

I'm lucky if I can connect 1 out of 20 times. I don't have that problem with other radio apps. I connect right away with no problems and stay connected with other apps.
