About NFC Writer by Trigger

Trigger Writer allows you to simply and quickly program multiple NFC tags.

You can program:

- web addresses
- foursquare venues
- address book contacts
- phone numbers
- emails
- text

We will add different data types based on feedback.

This application supports NFC Forum Type 1, Type 2, Type 3 and Type 4 Tags as well as third party NFC Enabled tags like the MIFARE Classic, DESFire, Ultralight and Ultralight C.

The app is configured to allow you to write multiple tags without leaving the write screen.

What are users saying about NFC Writer by Trigger

A70%
by A####:

Works well for URLs, but as soon as I select "Phone Number" or "Email" under "Additional Tag Types", the app crashes. Otherwise a great app.

R70%
by R####:

I wrote a text tag but now when I try to write a tag to call a number I just get 'unfortunately tagstand has stopped'. Unintelligible now

D70%
by D####:

Trying to write phone number tag or sms tag causes this app to crash

Z70%
by Z####:

Won't even open.

D70%
by D####:

Not much you can do. Only allows for URL, foursquare, and contacts. Can't do phone configuration tasks. Uninstalled.

D70%
by D####:

Cannot write basic tasks on to NFC tags. Need to pay to use.

C70%
by C####:

What happened was great now useless.

D70%
by D####:

I have had this app and it was simple and easy to use. The developer removed even the simplest tag writing features like being able to open an app with a tag. Very frustrating and now it is worthless...

X70%
by X####:

I was surprised to find that this was the most useless writer of several I tried in Play for vCard writing. Claims that a NTAG216 (888 bytes) is "too small" when writing 192-byte vCard. Selecting Phone number and Email writing simply crashes.

X70%
by X####:

Does not work with ntag216 tags (a type 2). Emailed dev, no response. Is this app even developed anymore? Like the app, but if it won't work with current tags...

X70%
by X####:

Like this app but ideally it would be great if it could write tasks that could be programmed to a tag that all NFC enabled devices could read and react without the users having to download additional l apps of software .

X70%
by X####:

Some write tags for their own programs. Tested it via uninstalling. Perfect. Now I can get those vip gaming cards going hehe

L70%
by L####:

Does not work on HTC One M7 Lollipop. Null object reference....

G70%
by G####:

Developer not updating it anymore... Foursquare function does not work as well their own store doesn't work either... Please remove broken functions and update the app for a better review...

X70%
by X####:

What a stupid thing to do to us, Google. Android v5 has not been very kind to my NFC tags. I can't use them at ALL now.

X70%
by X####:

Using the latest NTAG216 chip with 888 bytes bytes avilable to write , trying to write a contact card with just over 200 bytes and the app comes back with not enough room on the chip.

K70%
by K####:

Pointless for writing what i want on a tag wtf is foursqaur anyway. Not everone uses that.

Z70%
by Z####:

Not every tag type works. It crashes when trying to write a tag to call, text, or email. I've seen other user reviews with the same issues. If this were fixed, I would give a better review.

X70%
by X####:

Unfortunately, the one task I need this software to do it doesn't. I'm loading 20 or so NFC tags with contact information. After I select a contact from my contact list, I get the error "Attempt to invoke virtual method 'int java.lang.Integer.intValue()' on a null object references." It looks like this app is assuming that some numeric field is populated and they missed to check for null. I won't give it a one star as it appears to do the other things it claims (though untested by me...those aren't the reasons why I wanted this.)

X70%
by X####:

What happened to being able to write a tag to do a task?

U70%
by U####:

always force close when I want to write tag for direct call

X70%
by X####:

not lauch the app, when i share from foursquare. :(

K70%
by K####:

This app has the option to write foursquare venue tags but not wifi tags

X70%
by X####:

Works great on my Moto X but, crashes immediately on launch on the wife's SG6 Edge. Last fix not working...

X70%
by X####:

Using Samsung Galaxy A5.

X70%
by X####:

Could write URL tags, but crashed on selecting email...

U70%
by U####:

On LG G3 after moving to Lollipop - mobile data on/off doesn't work. Didn't have this issue with Kit Kat. Please fix this and you'll get 5 stars ;-)

K70%
by K####:

Amazing app but Im having problems, when ever I tap to write a tag to send a message or call a phone number then the app crashes automatically and I cannot write a tag that sends a message.

K70%
by K####:

I wish it would read a tags info also. Can you add that feature or make another app that does. The other readers interfere with trigger.

K70%
by K####:

Crashes when trying to make a task to write to tags. Most notable is anything relating to phone/phone book access.

K70%
by K####:

Excellent app - I agree with Rick Wheeler - can we have a read option.

D70%
by D####:

Paid for the pro but this is the feature that does not seem to work.

K70%
by K####:

Despite other apps being able to write to tags, this is one that actually makes tags that work.

P70%
by P####:

Crashes all the time on SG S5

K70%
by K####:

Don't bother downloading

D70%
by D####:

I wrote a link to an NFC tag, it worked perfectly the first time. If it fails, you might not have the right kind of NFC tag (Google it).

D70%
by D####:

Crash every time trying to create tag with phone number, I know it worked before, because I have tag with phone, created with this very app! Devs, fix the bugs!

D70%
by D####:

I wanted to write my own contact info to a tag. But when this app opened my address book, I saw every contact except myself.

K70%
by K####:

Cannot write your own contact info to a tag unless you add yourself as a contact. Everything else works as expected.

D70%
by D####:

Just realised i can't use the tag to turn the bluetooth on for example when i get in the car. Or to put it on silent when i go to bed. Pretty useless
