Tabify guitar composition

Works, but not very well. It can pick up single notes fine, as long as they aren't preceded by another in quick succession. Picks up power chords around 60% of the time, but will never input more than one entry when strumming. Wish it worked, as the idea is great, but I can see how it'd be extremely difficult to perfect.

The developers replied to me and said they're developing that feature. Greatly appreciated that they graciously accept criticism so I will bump it up 2 stars. Thank you, Developers, and continued luck to you

I love the concept of this app. Awesome idea. Fix playback so you can choose hearing what you played as real life, or 8-bit. I'd prefer 8 bit playback because for the app to pick up my notes correctly I have to play it slow and one note at a time with no sustain. I'd rather play it and fix it as I edit the tab and add sustain where it should be.

Not what I'm looking for. Does not recognize slide or bends, doesn't recognize tuning or ask for one, it only plays back the audio. Hit up guitar pro and work with them. It's just a simple plug in that they need. We don't need another tux guitar

I am a beginner I have been looking for something like this so I can write tab that alone makes it worth the money and as any guitarist worth a pleck knows that the same note can be achieved on different strings even with a bend after all we are not talking ai if this app had the power of reason it would be called human well done on what you have created so far and thanks

Personally I will continue to use this app as it's the best I've found usage wise but I would really like to see some improvement on the recording aspect because I am large into fingerpicking and it doesn't seem to pick it up very well on my guitar (or on the 12 string but I expect that)

Play a riff it adds wrong notes and skips 90% of what you play. This is a good idea, gone wrong.

If you go to name a tab immediately after writing it down, the app crashes and deletes the tab. This desperately needs to be fixed

The developer has provided an email but unable to contact the developer when needed. The app is quite basic as per the price paid.

It's brilliant I don't have to draw lines and tab anymore... since I use a lot of tapping I need the "t" option please do add it in the next update.. I'm sure there will be others needing it too

Did not transcribe notes as played on a simple scale on one string. Very disappointing as I bought the ad free app.

The app barley works. Its puts notes I didn't play on strings I didn't touch.

Tabify has a lot going for it. The interface is professional and clean. Adding notes onto the score is easy. You can also notate chord changes above the score which is really neat. The app also features an in-beta record-compose option. Other reviewers say this feature is not exact. However, the guitar has multiple enharmonic regions on the fretboard which allows you to play the same note multiple ways. I tested this feature with a G Major Scale starting with the G on the 3rd fret 6th string. This note was composed as actually being 3rd string open. Both are G's so technically the software transcribed it right. However, one was a G5 and the other was a G4. The rest of the scale was actually pretty spot on. The export feature to Google Drive or Email is a cool idea-- but I'm not sure what file type is currently being exported and I couldn't open it with anything. I'd like to see see a back up feature (maybe through an end user account system) because if I change devices, I want my files to move with me. Finally, the app crashed a few times when I tried to rename something. However, I'm sure it's a bug that will soon be fixed.

Slow motion- so bigginer like me can play it. And Free Tabs- so that many will download and install this app because if they can find an app that can teach them the tab of a song I guess it is more interesting and I know that this app is still updating I wish you all the best...

Doesn't even remotely record what your playing. Not sure why people are giving this such high reviews.

I wish I could just directly hook up my guitar.. I got a usb hub I can attach to my phone and usb/xbox360 amp cables.. wonder if it would work? ---- Also I'd of changed my review w/ the update however I'm in Lakebay WA w/ Tmobile service and they got jack squat for any real reliability here! I feel blessed just getting to post this!

It is a great idea however, the application does not function as intended. Any playing over a practice speed using single notes will not be reflected in the tab. Don't even bother trying any finger picking. I will gladly get this app again, but not until it functions correctly. Sorry guys.

I Want a refund. For the developers of Tabify check out TEFpad. This is what I needed in a Tab app. Please refund me. Thank you

As an artist who can write music but not tabs this is wonderful. Love the interface and ease of use. My only suggestions would be more functionality with odd tunings (i play in Drop F# on a 7 string) and maybe telling me what time signature and BPM I'm playing in. Because music illiterate.

Keeps picking up the wrong notes. Not even close to what I played.

The concept is exactly what I need and if it worked I would pay $10.00 for this app. I'm constantly writing and would love a simple tab tool like this to show other musicians what I'm doing.

I love the fact that you can play a song and the app will tab it out for you. A 4 star rating for not having a bass option. Will hold on to app if a bass guitar will be available soon.
